I bought these irons because they looked just like the ones I had stolen from me back in 1997. I really liked the irons back then, but could not find the replacements at that time. When I saw these I bought them becuase they were the best irons I had ever had. I did have to have them regripped, but it was worht it to have these back in my golf bag.

These are one of the most solid hitting sets of irons ever made, no matter where you stike it on the club face
I have been playing golf for 20 years, carry a 0-4 handicap year round
These were made during the 90's- but even today's technology doesn't get much better than this set
If you have the chance to purchase- you will not be dissapointed

Just can't get rid of them

I've had these irons for a long time, and they still hit the ball sweeter than anything else I've tried. I bought a set of Tommy Armour 845 titanium irons, and they just aren't the same. Tried an all hybrid set, just for kicks, still not as good. I look just because my irons are so old, and not custom fit; but I just can't see how any iron is going to be any better than these irons are. I've regripped them, and cleaned them, and quite frankly, I can't bring myself to replacing them. They work for me. even on toe hits; which I get all too often, these clubs keep the ball in play for me. I guess these where produced in the early 90's. I just have no reason to believe that mine won't still be working for me when they're 20 years old.

I've owned Tommy Armour 845's, a set of forged Arnold Palmers and two sets of Taylor Mades. TM's by far my best clubs and even though these are an older set I have no plans to upgrade. I left a pitching wedge on the 18th hole that didn't immediately make it back to the clubhouse so I looked on ebay for a matching replacement. A PW was up for $60 and the whole set for $120 so I opted for the set. Now I can leave them all over...but will try and be more careful. Great set of clubs and I assume TM has gotten better...though Think I'll stick with these!
