I intiiallty bought these irons from a local driving range for $350 dollars in 1999. I was in eigth-grade at the time. After four years on the varsity high school team (with free range balls) and four years in college playing recreationally 25 or so times a year, I'm still playing them now halfway through law school (in FL, so 50x/year). I still have the original grips on them, and although they are slightly worn, they are not cracked and are certainly playable. When new, they were incredible, even in rain. The fact of the club plays consistently, and is quite forgiving. With the Rifle Steel Shafts they are slightly heavier than most clubs I think but easy for beginners to get up in the air or for better players to shape shots. Overall, at $100-$200 dollars now, in good condition, consider these a steal. They're classic, durable, and no nonsense. If I were to buy a new set, I'd consider buying them again, even now, for 2008.
