TaylorMade Burner 2009 Iron set Golf Club

The auction was bogus although my paypal account was refunded what I paid for the golf clubs. Prior communication with the seller indicated that the item sold would be shipped soon but I find out later that my account with paypal has been credited. I would not recommend doing business with this seller.

I survey the net and decide to buy it. It's my third iron set. I love their philosophy, design the clubs each by each. Also, the outlook is very cool. I have confidence on that.

So, I bid it and get it. And start using it.

It's good! Even miss hit is dead straight. Only shorter.
When you hit it right, the sound is perfect.

The one I got was new & authentic, and it was exactly as described but had a huge problem.

The sweet spot was located way off from the center of the club. I believe no detail inspection were ever done on this club.

I had to take all of the clubs to Pro-Shop for adjustment. Some had to add few grams of weight, and some were off too much that I had to grind the club head for the adjustment.

It's brand new & authentic, but you have to be aware of the risk.

Looks great, long irons a little hard to get used to, but I've only hit once at range. I was hitting Adams A3OS and wanted a club a little more in the players range, smaller and more workable. These are that, only I need to hit some more to get a great feel for them. I am pushing the 4 iron and have got to figure out my set up with it.

Love the golf clubs but felt they were a little more used than expected. The add said only used a few rounds but it looks like the wear patterns seems a more than I anticipated.
All said I would still have purchased them because the price for the product was a deal.

Received my order promptly and they were exactly as advertised. I was very pleased with the product and the service.

I think I got the best deal on Ebay when I bought these clubs. They are just as the manufacturer said they would be, long and accurate.The seller's description matched the clubs exactly.I think the burner 2009 irons are the best irons on the market right now because of the individuality of each iron. It's not a set of irons but a set of different irons in a set.

Product as advertised in new condition. Shipping was a little slow due to seller being out of town. Other than that an OK deal.

I love everything about it... if you threw in head covers then you might get a lot more business than the other guys though ;-)

I assume a lot of the negatives regarding this set must be due to the stock shafts???

I can not stress enough that you should always demo clubs and get fitted before buying a set of golf clubs... I personally tend to only use Project X and Dynamic Gold shafts and they usually weigh 120+ grams... with that said the stock shaft in the 2009 Burner did not perform well for me... I always love trying out new clubs and read all about the new KBS shafts... TaylorMade offered them as an upgrade so I decided to try/demo the new Burner with the KBS Tour stiff flex shafts... To make a long story short I got on eBay after hitting my demo club and bought a set to play the second half of this year... I have not been disappointed!!!

The Burner fitted with a top of the line KBS shaft outperformed both my Titleist sets with Project X shafts... I ended up selling all of my Titleist irons, hybrids, and wedges... Switched to the TaylorMade Burner line with all KBS Tour shafts... I have since lowered my handicap another 4 strokes!!!

Performance:
I have seen more of a consistent mid/high ball flight with this combination and a gain of almost 10 yards in distance... I have my clubs at standard club lengths which is shorter than the listed lengths of the stock TM Burner shafts... The heads are not big and bulky like most game improvement irons... I was able to work the ball and on an occasional mishit the set was very forgiving... The only issue I have had is actually been with the longer irons in the set because they are more off set than the rest of the clubs... after a few adjustments and course time I have no complaints... Some may ask why I did not try the Titleist sets with the KBS shafts... The reason is mainly due to durability/wear because both AP iron sets are very soft and after only 15 rounds they looked like a 2-year-old set of clubs... The price tag of the Titleist set was not worth it in the long run... With all of that said two of my regular golf buddies have since tried my clubs and have them on order as we speak... If you have an opportunity to demo this club or any club with the new KBS shaft, I highly recommend that you do!!!

they arrived a couple of days early and the taylormade burner 2009 irons stiff were in excellent condition. i would definitely buy from them again

The Taylor Burner 2009 Plus Irons are very easy to hit, very forgiving with a high trajectory and easy to control the ball on the green.
It feels that they have a huge sweet spot, a pleasant experience every time you play golf with them.

clubs were exactly what i wanted....perfect condition. They actually arrived via UPS EARLY.

IN MY OPINION THIS SET IS OVER RATED. DISTANCE IS OK BUT NOT MUCH DIFFERENT THAN COMPETITORS. TRYING TO WORK THE BALL IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE.

Great irons, long and forgiving, this is one of the best set of irons i have ever played. If you want to improve your game then these will certainly help you.
