Average Shooter game, I'd say House of the Dead 2&3 are MUCH better then this game, but similiar in many ways. Lots of Bonus/Hidden area's that make this game exciting.

i loved this game in the arcade and was pumped to see it come out on the wii, but this version is total garbage, the firing is off center by at lwast an inch and a half and there is no way to calibrate it!!! how the hell do you create a shooting game and not allow calibration????, also there is a lag on the fire by at least a half a second maybe more, terrible, waste of money

The game is great I like the fact that you can set the gore level to low so the kids can play or watch while we play. Also the fact that you can use the zapper gun and it is two players. I bought this game so I had a game to use with the WII Zapper.

Target: Terror for Wii (or just go to the arcade, ok)
Review created: 04/17/09

Shooting games really aren't the Wii's strongpoint. The Wiimote or Wiizapper really doesn't give the feel of a gun. It just doesn't give that plastic Happ Controls arcade feel to a game that was originally designed exclusively for arcades.

In fact, when this game originally came out, one of Raw Thrill's selling points was that it would not be available for home consoles. 5 years later (after new game sales are gone) it's here.

Before you start saying, crimeny, these graphics suck...you have to bear in mind that this is a 6 year old arcade game. If you played it in the arcade and compared it to Area: 51 or House of the Dead, you'd be happy. If you compared it to Razing Storm or Rambo, you'd find the graphics lacking. That is a function of time, not design flaw.

When I mentioned to my editor at RePlay that I'd bought this for Wii he had the same initial reaction I did--Hey, they said this wouldn't be released for home consoles. Then his brain did the math and he went, "oh, man, it's getting old."

Is it relevant and fun? Well, the arcade version is still the #6 "best upright video" in RePlay as of April '09, which puts it far ahead of newer games that originally cost much more than it did.

In the end, though, just pony up the quarters and play it at your local arcade or FEC. You'll find it a lot more rewarding. If you're like me and keep getting hosed in the final chapter, you can then go home and practice a bit. Then you can go back and win...and impress everyone with how you beat the game for only a few quarters when it takes them a wheelbarrow full of quarters to achieve the same outcome.

Oh, and the design team is headed by Eugene Jarvis who brought you Defender and Robotron and lots of other games through the years. Pretty cool that the guy who designed the #1 selling American videogame of all time is still out there making hits for arcades.

Pros:
First person shooter
Lot of different senerios
Cons:
Slow reaction time when shooting
(delay in where the crosshairs should be)
Generaly hard to play because of reactoin time

Overall I would recommend that you aviod purchasing this game there are may other first person shooters out there
One of the better ones is House of the dead II & III(recommended)

  Good drinking game!

Very slow response. Horrible graphics. However, still fun to play. I have not played any other shooter games on Wii yet so I do not have much to compare it to right now, but I can tell you that Duck Hunt had better response. Excellent game to play under the influence.

  Arcade style. As Expected.

It can be fun, if you like arcade games. It sounds and looks just like you are playing in an arcade. You definitely need a gun, it can get tiring without it and not much fun. But, be very selective of the gun you buy- they are a lot of junks out there. I suggest try NYKO Perfect Shot for Nintendo Wii for $14.99 at Best Buy or WalMart.

The seller really did sell me a brand new, sealed item. I will recommend this seller.

Get one for FREE!!! Have a look at this video first:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DFKYVE__Mug

Just take 2 minutes and read this. This is very EASY to do! It literally
takes 10 minutes to setup. Simply follow the steps below. I promise you,
this is 100% real. I will answer you on any question! Here is what you
do. Click on the link below, register, pick an account type (referral is
the easiest) and complete just 1 offer (Very important that you complete
the 1 offer otherwise your account will sit in limbo until you do). This
is not like other sites where you need to complete one offer on 2 or 3
different pages!!! And a lot of these offers are FREE trials with
nothing else to buy...No commitments!!!

There are plenty of cool offers to choose from such as Blockbuster
online, Stamp.com, Netflix, Gamefly which are services you would
regularly sign up for anyways and their all secure networks, why not use
them to get a free PS3 System or cash (I did the Stamps.com for a 30 day
free trial and it never cost me a penny and I received credit for it the
same day). Look at the offers and choose the one that works for you.
After signing up and completing your one offer, simply refer 8-14 people
(depending on the FREE prize you choose) to do the same under your link
(just post the same thing as I have on eBay, and you'll get your
referrals before the auction even ends.)

Then they will ship your PS3 System or your selected item for free, I
chose the PS3 80gb System. No Joke, 100% REAL!!! The reason these
companies make money, is because most people don't bother getting all
the referrals. All you have to do is post it ! They use us as
advertisement by word of mouth which saves them tons of money which goes
toward yours and my free gift. These are legit companies such as
Blockbuster, Netflix, Gamefly etc... You can copy my listing if you
want. You must use your own authentic link though. You will get your own
personal link after your orders placed.

Step 1: COPY AND PASTE THIS LINK IN YOUR ADDRESS BAR http://www.YourPS34free.com/index.php?ref=5173274

Step 2: Sign up and chose an account type (Referral is the easiest and
best).

Step 3: Complete just 1 offer (like Blockbuster or Stamps.com) and refer people to do the same (use eBay! Do what I did, copy my ad).

Step 4: Receive your PS3 System for FREE!!!!!!!!!! (Even The Shipping Is Free!!!)

For proof that this is for real, click on the link below. It's the
company that is behind everything.

If you have any questions feel free to message me!! I'll Respond ASAP.
If you want hints/tips about the whole process, I'd be happy to fill you in.

  Target Terror= Area 51
Review created: 06/03/08

Its a newer version of Area 51 minus the chessey voice overs. I liked the live action enemies. (They used real people diving and moving, not computer generated) I like the guy lighting a smoke and then notices all the shooting. Opps! I would rec. it if you like arcade shooters.
