This is a great CD for adults and kids alike. You don't have to be a Neil Diamond fan to appreciate the beautiful songs on this CD. This compilation is proof that Neil Diamond has and continues to have talent oozing from his pores!

I first heard this as an album in '72, and was struck by the beauty and life of the music. "He Ain't Heavy..." is one on Neil's best! Childson, Soolaimon and African Suite are GREAT!

Unique Neil Diamond Album Shows His VersaltilityReview created: 01/01/07

) This album was one that Neil Diamond broke away from the three stanza 60's R&R. He uses symphonic music, children's choir/vocals in many songs; and like Dylan before, he breaks away from the typical three minute three stanza songs that typified earlier popular music. Not heard Tap Root Manuscript since the 70's and when I purchased it in Dec 2006, it was just as enjoyable as back then.
