Industry Reviews One hardly knows where to start in raving about this book. The contributors are top-drawer, the topic is covered thoroughly in a well-organized and readable style, the illustrations are all in full color, the index is complete, and the price is a bargain. General topics include terminology, in which clear explanations are given of the codes used to describe tomatoes; suggestions for starting seeds and growing plants; and natural methods for dealing with pests and diseases. Four gardeners who grow tomatoes in the Southwestern desert, the South, the Far North, and the Pacific Coast area offer special tips for growing tomatoes in those locations, listing varieties that do best there. There are many more treasures in this jewel box, which belongs in every library and personal gardening collection. Highly recommended. Carol Cubberley, Univ. of Southern Mississippi, Hattiesburg Ives
