A dog behavior classic

Turid Rugaas is a Scandinavian trainer and behaviorist with an amazing ability to truly observe canines and learn how to interact with them in ways that the dogs innately understand. "On Talking Terms With Dogs: Calming Signals" has become a classic in the world of positive reinforcement dog training, and is a book every dog owner should have on the shelf. Be sure, however, that it doesn't stay on the shelf, for the information in this book will make you a better dog owner, and make your dog a happier pet.
Rugaas goes over the basics behind how dogs communicate calming signals to one another, and then not only takes you through many of these signals, but gives examples of how we humans can use canine body language to our own advantage in communicating to our dogs.
It's said that every good relationship is based on clear communication. What dog lover wouldn't want to improve their relationship with their canine friend? You can't go wrong with this book.
