Taking Charge of Your Fertility by Toni Weschler (2006, Package)

My husband and I have been reading the book together & I feel like after 30 years this was a lot of stuff I should've known!!! I shared it with my OB-GYN & she found it facinating too!!! If you are having any problems trying to conceive - get it! It's a must have! As far as actually conceiving - we haven't yet but we've only had the book about a month.

I have searched for quite some time for an alternative to hormonal BC. The options were limited and not altogether reassuring, until a friend told me about this book. This book is comprehensive and interesting. Toni spells it out for you in clear, easy to understand terms. Her concept is easy to follow and maintain, takes about as much time as finding your pills and taking them and has no side effects! What you also get is a much clearer, more in depth understanding of your own body. I learned things about myself that no doctor or book had ever explained to me before. Things that doctors SHOULD be telling their patients and dont. If you are looking for an alternative to hormones, trying to conceive, explain certain womens health issues, or just need a better understanding, this is the go-to book for all of that.
Should you find yourself using this method, there is also a customized program for charting as well.

This book, though long, is very descriptive and informative. It is easy to understand and provides many examples, charts, graphs, images etc. I would highly reccommend this book to anyone trying to conceive.

I recently purchased a couple of fertility and conception books when my husband and I began TTC. ALL the other books referenced this one, so I decided to see what was so great about it. The descriptions for things like CM are soooo clear! Pics are even included!! This book totally helped me get a grip on my peak days! This version also came with a trial charting software that I absolutely love! I completely recommend this for anyone new to the TTC world! This book is great alone, but I use in in combination with "Fertility & Conception" by Zita West and "The Essential Fertility Log" bu Suzanne Schlosberg. The log isn't really necessary with the software, but I like having two different formats. Plus, I can carry my log around with me. I also use "The Everything Getting Pregnant Book" by Robin Elise Weiss, but most of the information in it is covered in the other books I previously mentioned. This book is great! A friend let me borrow hers a few years ago...Here is the secret recipe: A little Clomid and reading this book...sprinkled with many prayers....and we have an 18 month old son now. It is time for us to dust this one off and read it again! Corrie

I want to get pregnant and it has all the information I need, not only for that but just to know more about how my body works and know when to get help when needed, and things to rule out infertility before doctors do without ruling out certain points the book mentions.

This book is a great insight to the female body. It is written well so it is easily understood. After reading this book I have been able to plan my pregnancies. I highly recommend this book to any female wanting to know more about her body and/or wanting to be able to know when they are ovulating.

I LOVE how detailed and descriptive the book is written. Also, it's not boring and over your head, in the way some similar books are. It was an easy read, definitely a book I will keep on my shelf and pass on to friends.

I bought this book upon recommendation from a friend. This is an excellent book for all women. It gives a thorough, detailed explanation of female fertility. I didn't know of many of the things that were in the book until reading about them. This is an easy read, and is a great reference manual. It gives a detailed explanation of the Fertility Awareness Method of family planning, which is different from the Rythym Method in that FAM is actually effective. Additionally, this book is a great selection for those women who are looking for a birth control method that does not involve any drugs or medications that alter hormones in any way. It is a comprehensive book on female health and gives women the knowledge and power necessary to understand their own cycles and speak intelligently with doctors. Well worth the time spent reading. I would recommend this to any woman.

Every woman should purchase this book. I had sex we in high scool and they just told us the basics. This book went into depth oh how our bodies work and the different stages our bodies go thru. Ever since I was little I have had irregulair cycles and this book helped me in slot of ways. Every woman and their moms should read it together and talk about it. Eveyone will learn something new. Loved this book

The book is in perfect condition. I haven't gotten to read it yet. I'm getting married and want to look at natural methods of family planning.

I bouth this book because I heard many positive things about it. In my opinion the book is good and guide you step by step to understand your own cycle. Its excellent for beginers, and it lacks of major information on fertility and fertility problems.

This book is a must for women of all ages. Provides clear details on things that we are often unsure about when it comes to our bodies and how it functions. Where was this when I was a teenager!?

It has invaluable information about the female reproductive system that every female from puberty on should know about herself and probably doesn't.

It's not only for women trying to conceive/avoid pregnancy. Using this easy to read and understand book with illustrations, a female learns her personal physical patterns and is better able to determine if something should be checked or is a concern. There is also a great online forum (ovusoft) that is based off the book.

I absolutely LOVE the software for charting, also. It's very simple to use, yet detailed also. It takes care of the guess work for you.

When I showed the book and my charting from my software to my doctor and midwife, they both said that I probably knew more than they did regarding these things! That's scary of them to say that, but it's reassuring of how important it is that I've learned these things. They were also glad I was able to show them by my charting exactly when I conceived. :)

It's true - THEY DON'T TEACH THIS IN SCHOOL, BUT THEY SHOULD. And how much better that you can give her this information yourself? :)

The book is set up in a logical manner and easy to read. The material is logical and applicable to daily life. The information is very helpful and I am excited to use what I have learned.

I haven't finished reading the book but I recieved it on Friday and was 100 pages in by the end of the weekend (very good for a non reader). Great learning source for any woman (or man) wanting to know what the heck is going on inside that body of yours!

I have learned so much from this book. My Gyno gave me a sheet of paper with 3 step directions on it for BBT. That was it. You need to know so much more to get preganant or to use the book for natural birth control. Every woman should read this book once in their life.
