Take Back Your Life! by Stephanie Bernhagen (2000, Paperback)

As I have been interested in the RV lifestyle for many years, I read all I can about this topic. This marvelous book has the most information on living in an RV,covering every topic imaginable to prepare one for understanding all the possibilities. It covers expenses, permits, all types of vehicles, states and requirements, traveling with children and home schooling etc. There is so much information in the resource directory that we would not be able to find on our own. Then, the author adds many real-life stories of other folks who took to the road and how they did it. They were not all the retired folks you would have expected, but came from all age brackets. The book title says it all and is something to really ponder. WHY are we so bound up with our "stuff" which ties us to one plot of ground forbiding us to explore and enjoy life more with LESS HOUSE WORK AND YARD MOWING just to name a couple of chores that keep us so involved that we never can get away easily. I think living in a motorhome is the most wonderful, exciting way to live having less housework but more freedom to enjoy the surroundings, the family you take with you and your few little necessities of life and just be free from a lot that entangles us in the old traditional home setting...which has been wonderful for many generations, but now---there's more and better: get a "wheel-estate". You can hit the road and take your home with you.
The author did an outstanding job on this book. I cherish mine which I got off of ebay! What a bargain~ and I hope someday to use the information personally. AB Hardee
