TNA Impact! (Xbox 360, 2008)

I am a huge wrestling fan, so when I heard there was a game coming out based on TNA wrestling, I was hoping it would be good. Well, it is, sort of.

To start out, there are about 2 dozen wrestlers from TNA (including unlockables). There are no divas aka "knockouts" in this game, which is disapointing. Also, there is no TNA titles you can compete for in Exhibition mode.

There aren't many matches to choose from either. They include a Standard match (1vs1 or 3-Man or 4-Man), Tag Team, Submission match, FCA (only difference is the ability to pin outside the ring), & Ultimate X match (The most fun match).

The Story mode is interesting and allows you to create your our wrestler. The CAW mode is cool but not nearly as good as the SVR series. The story mode just has you play & win matches until you finally because TNA champion. It takes about 5-7 hours MAX. It is fun while it lasts.

Style points are earned through different moves you do in matches. You earn unlockable moves & some unlockable wrestlers with these. Which makes the replayabilty a little higher.

The control system is smooth & the graphics are nice.

The moves are very limited. There are the high flyers moveset & the power moveset. But everyone has their signature finshing move. Kicking out of attempting pins is hard to get used to but once you get used to it, there aren't many problems. It involves moving the left thumbstick back & forth as fast as you can.

Online Play is very lacking. It only allows 2 players max. So only 1vs1 matchups. You can play Standard, FCA, Submission, or Ultimate X matches. You cannot use your created player or the any of the DLC characters. In Ranked matches if your opponent quits, you will not get the win for the online leaderboards and he will not get a loss either. Which is stupid.

All in all, this game is fun. But after you beat the story mode and/or unlock everything, you feel pretty much done with the game.

This a fun game from TNA. TNA is a great show to watch, and I couldn't wait until I received this game. The moves you can do on this game is really fun. The only problem with the game is the controls. It was and still is a little hard for me to get used to them. I haven't played it a whole lot because I don't have the time, but I'm sure if I did, the controls would get easier and I would be able to block the moves from the computer and not get mine blocked all the time. Over all, the game could be a fun game to play if the controls were better.

This is a fun game for me the story line is very cool and the matches are very good.the seller got it to me in very fast time.

This game is a good average game. If you are into wrestling then it's something that you will enjoy more.

This is a great game, but only if you compare it to wrestling games from 2003. While it is great to finally play with stars such as AJ Styles, Christopher Daniels, and Samoa Joe this game will leave you feeling a little empty. A shortage of match types and poor game play greatly diminish the game's replay value. If you are a hardcore TNA fan, you should at least try the game, if not this game isn't for you.

I'm a wrestling fan, so naturally, i was going to love the idea of buying this game, LOL. I've been watching TNA Wrestling because they high-flying action on a everyday basis and i like that type of action therefore i bought the game and i am completely loving this game and i haven't even learned all the moves yet but I'm doing alright.

Tna Impact by Midway isn't that all bad game i think is so far better than the SvR series games!!! the game doesnt have only 25 roster, less matches, and barely weapons in this game but so much better than smackdown games

this game is fantastic. i just love how smooth it is. this game will re-define wrestling games. I love TNA!

I got it quick and it was as described in the ad in regards to condition, etc. I purchased the game for my sons and they have been playing it for hours. I will definitely purchase more games from this seller. The prices on the games are very competitive and their condition great.

Graphics are clean, smooth, and awesome! The game is not as deep as a WWE game in terms on moves, match type, and extra bells and whistles. But for a first TNA video game they did a great job.

It's enough to make me keep an eye out for the second one.

The game will grow since this was the first TNA game. The game is alot better than WWE in my opinion and is alot easier to manipulate the actions.

The game is a must for a fan of professional wrestling games. Although it doesn't have all the facets of some others of its type, it was a great first effort for TNA. I generally prefer THQ engines to what I would expect from Midway, but Midway seems to be on the right track.

The game is pretty good accept for a few short comings.The create a character is pretty limited and the entrances for the wrestlers aren't really that spectacular.
The action is fun at first but gets very repetive after a while due to the fact that you can perform the same moves over and over again.
All in all it's a good wrestling game, but only if you are looking for one to play for a while.

On ebay I found a lot of item in great price. In the case of TNA impact! I buy it in $16.50 dollar and was an excellent price because I found it in other stores in $40.00 or $60.00 dollar including the Tax. I love it. Right here on ebay I can save 20%, 50% or more.

the game was in excellent condition i bought the game because in stores it was about 40.00 dollars and he gave me a great deal on the game.The graphics on the game is great. This game s a great game i would recommend it to anybody who likes fighting games or just a realistic game this game is great.

Basic game good. No championship belts and limited characters are major drawbacks. Good game at first, but gets old quickly.

Good first effort by Midway for this franchise. Would like to see more moves and characters next time. Control systems needs some fine tuning a little awkward at times to perform certain moves. If you like more of a fighting style wrestling game than pick this up for more of a simulation style go with WWE Smackdown.
