T-Mobile Sidekick II (T-Mobile)

PROS!
Well this phone is overall great! It's one of a kind when it comes to personal productivity. The best feature that this Sidekick II offers is the desktop interface. You can access your calendar, e-mail, pictures, to-do list, contacts, notes, and contacts all from your desktop/laptop computer. Also if you are to lose your phone, luckily you have insurance... when you receive your replacement phone all of your information except for text, is sent right back to your phone without you having to contact your carrier! wow! so all those pictures you took, that one important e-mail where your girlfriend is breaking up with you, 50 cent ringtones all there on your new phone! That is the most convenient thing I have ever had, not to mention all 300 contact are still in my phone book including the notes and pictures I saved for each. Once you get use to the keyboard you cant live without it!

The calendar also gives you the great option to set up reminders on the weekdays, or just the weekends... For example if you work M-F than you can just set your alarm on Weekdays instead of waking up to the star spangled banner on Saturday @ 5AM because you forgot to turn off your alarm the night before!

Hidden tricks!~
Here are a few hidden tricks I found!
menu= the button with the three lines on the left hand side.

Mirror option: from the main screen press menu+shift+M.

Flash light: from the main screen press menu+F

Secret snowboarding game: From the main screen press menu-> setting-> scroll down to about sidekick and press the wheel. when its showing the copyrights and credits screen press Menu+Shift+8 at the same time! Free game!!!

Theres only a few cons: When your browsing the web it tends to be a bit slow, and theres no JAVA :( , so its a bit limited which sucks.

It can be a bit bulky at times and I'm not the type to rock it in that black ugly pouch on the side of my waist! :)

First of all, I was born deaf, so please excuse my poor english. I bought Sidekick 2 phone about a month ago. Also, bought another one for my husband. We talk and talk a lot through phone messages. We love our phones very much! That was Joshua Snyder, our son's idea for finding the phone for me. Again, I love it!

Amazing phone. espically with all the differnet colors for the D-pad. I liked this phone alot. If i had the chance to get this phone agian i would. But i already bought i Sidekick iD. But if you decide to look at this phone. BUY IT

i bought these cellphones because i thought that they were going to be cool but they are not.also the guy that sold them to me said in the item description that that they where in exelent conditions and the camera didnt work but at list he game me a partial refound of 30 and i keep the phone. then i sold the phone in ebay again lol.

I was very disappointed on my purchase I wasted a 100 dollars on a phone I cannot use i am a college student and i don't have money to waste. The features work on the phone but the phone does not take outgoing or incoming calls i took the phone to t-mobile and the want to charge me more than the phone is worth and more than i paid for it also the phone has some kind of shortage so it want charge so i just look at the phone everyday and remind my self to stay away from e-bay thank you kindly for being concern

the phone is great and kids love the phones!!

I would recommend this phone for younger kids and they can feel like a teenager who have the slides and the Lx

I like the phone but it seem to be a small problem with the phone sometime it freezed by itself and sometime the button wont work

I bought this tmobile side kick II for my 15 year old son. After 3 days of use, it doesnt work properly. People cannot hear him talking when they call or when he calls them. What a waste of $102.00!!!
I have learned my lesson. I will not buy used phones again!!!!!

I won and payed for the sellers item on the fourth of february. They told me that they would ship it out the next day. I waited and waited and kept trying to contact the seller but never got
responses. After two and a half weeks of waiting for the phone I decided to file a dispute. The seller still never contacted me or reassured me that the phone was coming. I got the phone
today and the packaging said it wasnt sent until february twentieth...sixteen days after I bought it. It also said they only paid two dollars and fifteen cents for the shipping, and they charged
me nine dollars. The phone wasnt packaged just thrown in an envelope with no kind of protection. This was the sellers description of the phone word for word: "this sidekick 2 is like new
in perfect working order. excellent cosmetic condition." The phone has deep scratches and marks all over it. There are circle marks all over the phone form where they had little stickers on
it. The back cover of the phone is missing. There is paint and white out on almost every button and some of the letters and numbers are rubbed off. The phone barely flips open...you have
to force it to open. And most imprtant, the phone doesnt even turn on. This phone is a piece of junk. The seller lied in the description and took three weeks to get it to me. I WANT MY MONEY
BACK AND I WILL SEND THEM THE BROKEN PHONE.

I did not get the dam' Tmobile sidekick phone. So I dont know what to say about it.I bought the phone from the seller but the guy did not mail it to me. I even tried to contact him but he would not reply. I have no idea about the phone because the service and deal with thye guy was very bad. I'm still waiting to get my money. SO paypal , please help .

I dislike the product because the product description didn't fully match the product. The only reason it is receiving a below average instead of poor rating is because it did say "used." The product stated "used" but did not state the serious amount of damages such as the gashes and scratches left by the seller. I normally started using ebay because of its great service and liability. The seller of this product has not only been below average and misleading product ("lies") but has halted my ability to safely buy products from ebay again. Thank you

Item was just as described in good condition. I purchased this for my 8 year old son and was a great choice for his first phone! Shipping was fast and communication with seller was great.

The only reason why I didn't give it an excellent rating was the one fell off when I got it, but I got that replaced soon after the incident. The phone was great besides that, no problems!

We ordered a side kick phone and we sent a money order and the phone was sent within a few days. We didn't have any problems with this order.

I loved my Sidekick II and the only reason I replaced it was that I wanted an iPhone. The Sidekick II still does some things better than the iPhone. Instant Messaging and over the air data sync are the two killer SK features for me. I'm still waiting for the iPhone to get these capabilities.

The only downside to this phone for me was the phone itself. Generally, I had poor reception and pretty crappy service wherever I was. It would drop calls and fail when dialing. It wasn't unusable by any means, it was just worse than my wife's cheaper phones. If you desperately need a phone to talk on, you probably want to look elsewhere. However, if you need to surf the web, IM your friends, SSH to your servers, etc. and only occasionally use the phone you can't go wrong with this model.

All in all it's a great communication device and I would recommend it highly to all but the most talkative people.

i wasn't able to use both phones one was not working.i wasn't aware of what i can do to return it back.

I received a phone that was broken and had to send it back. I had to pay shipping again and waited for another phone. They did replace it, but I was dissatisfied with the whole process.

i obviously bought it cuz i wanted it, it got to me really fast, but i was disappointed by how damaged it was it was described as few minor scratches, not looks like i dropped it on a daily basis

the item wasn't working so i emailed him lots of times but he refused to reply me so i sent the item back for a refund but i still heve not recieved my money and this is almost 3 weeks ago.so people out there do not buy anything from him.

i love the easy way to text message with its small like keyboard i dont like the idea that i have to have internet services just to down load ring tones.
