Syphon Filter (PlayStation, 1999)

This is a very fun game. The graphics for this game are very good for its time. I really enjoyed this game and I still like to play it.

I would recommend this game to anyone.

Even with its diffculty of movement, and some rather complex scenarios (the church maze took me weeks to get through), this is by far the BEST action game I have ever played. The story draws you in, and the array of weapons you can use to wipe out enemies is tops. Look for hints and cheat codes to give you unlimited ammo and weapons. The fun has just begun. Superb.

i used to play it for playstaton one. i liked the game and wanted to play it on playstation three. the item was clean and worked great.

If you've never played Syphon Filter on the PSone, you should buy this game. I wasn't impressed with any sequel from the Syphon Filter series, but I've never forgotten how much fun I had playing this game a decade ago. When I saw I could download it for the PS3/PSP game system for $5.99 I was ecstatic. Even if you're not into Metal Gear or Splinter Cell type shooters, you'll love this game. It's just plain fun. The playability of this game is great. Aiming and shooting is easier and less complicated than other games in this genre. I wasn't a big fan of shooters until I bought this game for my little brother on PSone when I was a teenager. After playing the first stage I was hooked. I recommend playing with the stun gun first. The shotgun is nice, but the stun gun has an excellent range and it's just fun to watch enemies convulse and start smoking. BUY THIS GAME!!!!

By far one of the greatest games released for the PlayStation! As to be expected with a PS1 game, the graphics leave a little to be desired, but the outstanding story and overall game play more than make up for it. A fantastic game, a true classic, and highly recommended!

Mu son absolutely loved this game when he got it the first time. This is the 2nd time we bought it because of his first one becoming missing. He plays it all the time.

Easy user interface, and action packed game!

I remember some people were making fun of this game for being a Metal Gear clone. This game isn't like Metal Gear at all. Metal Gear is all about stealth and avoiding being seen by the enemy. This game is about leaping feet first into the action... zapping enemies with a taser until they burst into flames(I swear this is true), and you laugh because it's funny. This game also is unique in that environmental hazards and not fulfilling certain objectives within a certain amount of time will kill you instantly. This adds more challenge, because there are checkpoints but more than likely you will have to play some stages over and over in order to get through them. This game is a lot of fun, and is one of the games that should not be forgotten and confined to the annuls of history as a "Metal Gear clone"... because it's definitely not.

I love this game. I had it before, but it got scratched really bad, so I decided to get it again. I love using the tazer and shooting people. If you hold it down on them long enough, the catch on fire! lol

I can not review the item because I never recieved. I am very disapointed. This makes me not want to purchase any items through ebay. The seller has never tried to contact me.

for a psone game this game is in great condition no sractches and the case and game looks new just excellent the game is great and i love playing those psone classics!

syphon filter is cool and fun. it's levels have multiple objectives, a lot of weapons, and o.k graphics.
it's mostly just a average third person shooter.

This was a very good game at the time. I was never sick of it when I first played it. I really applaud on the fact that the music gets dramatic whenever danger arrives.

My son asked for it, and since he received it from what I can tell he loves it, he plays it almost every day.

This gsme is a hot classic A number one of the playstation Gen one game console. The game has good action which I like in a game, I lost my frist game so i brougth another one a good and clean copy.

This is a classic game for PS1, the graphics are alright for a PS1 game,the aiming system could be better, the game can get glitchy in huge fire fights but other than that its a great game, a mix of metal gear solid,splinter cell & tomb raider. lots of guns.
