Swordfish (Blu-ray Disc, 2006)

It was a great Blu ray movie, Mint condition the price was right and in excelent condition, I recently bought a Blu ray player and I have been searching for movies in which I already own on regular DVD.

if you have the 1080p tv and a surround system. all what i have to say is WOW. the image is crisp clear, i mean it so clear that you gonna have to clean your glasses. cause dirt on glasses will annoy you when watching a movie in 1080p.
if you buy this BD, you will be amazed in how beautiful the picture is. even the movie is one of those smart movies that has something like a trick to it at the end. it took me a wile to think which first blu ray movie i should get for my tv...... and i was just amazed .

SWORD FISH revels in the state-of-the-art special effects and frantic violence characteristic to most of director Paul Verhoeven's American productions. Though based on a story by the creator of Blade Runner, author Philip K. Dick, Total Recall is more of an action movie than a philosophical rumination on identity. Still, the film gets a lot of mileage out of the questionable notion that "you are what you remember." The screenplay was finally credited to seven screenwriters; it had bounced around Hollywood for a number of years with different directors and stars before it reached Verhoeven. The director's brand of high-octane, cartoonish violence is a good fit with the material, though his style may have been better suited to 1988's more satiric Robocop. The movie received a special achievement Academy Award for its impressive effects.

We bought this movie on blu-ray because we enjoyed it so much on regular dvd.The blu-ray edition is of course better in every way like must of the other blu-ray movies.We really enjoyed watching this movie again on blu-ray.

Hugh Jackman is amazing in this movie, John Travolta is simply incredible. Then of course, Halle Berry, topless no less! Wow!!! The action flows quickly and easily. You'll stay on the edge of your seat, from start to finish. Two thumbs way up! Must watch!

Swordfish is a razor sharp action movie does not fail to deliver in the action stakes and entertains throught. John Travolta stars as a high tech criminal who plots to rob the government of 9.5 million dollars by hacking into their computers and stealing their money. He has to recruit the worlds best hacker(Hugh Jackman)to do the job even though he is reluctant to have anything to do with it. Don Cheadle is impressive as the guy who has to stop them. The film is stuffed full of brilliant special affect oh and don't let me forget that one of the best sight is the film is Halle Berry with her shirt off! It must be the only reason she is in the film because her character served no real purpose. This is one of Travolta's better film's although this is no Pulp Fiction but then again it is no White Mans Burden either

I liked the premise of this movie, and Travolta plays a good "bad guy". This movie has Police, Bombs, Bank robberys, Car Chases, Hacking, and many other commonmd things found in action movies. But it has one thing taht most Actioon movies dont have: it was convincing... well almost. It struck me as a DELL Commercial... ALL the pcs even the servers are DELLS that it the only thing that makes it less convincing..

Fast paced action, twist and turns you don't see coming. Excellent cast and direction. I love the slow-mo scenes and the sound trac is superb, To show off surround sound the scene where the girl breaks free and is blown apart is a stellar surround sound bit. I use it to impress friends and family.
A must see hear to believe action movie!Sony and Blu-ray rocks.

After much thought about this Blu-ray DVD, on whether to purchase it or not since critics bombed it at the original movie theatrical release, I was not sure how well it would be for a downgraded movie title. Well actually I am quite impressed! John Travolta was excellent with his evilness. Hugh Jackman was also great as the guy whom was down on his luck and got railroaded into a hell of a mess when he was trying to start his life over. Don Cheadle as the cop who was always one step behind. Then Halle Berry, what a role she played as the undercover agent. As it turns out, this was an excellent high-tech thriller with lots of action and suspence for a movie on Blu-ray. So on a scale of 1 to 10 I would give it a "9". You won't be disapointed!

I enjoyed this film back when it came out in theaters so having in in high-def just makes my day. Unfortunately High definition viewing makes the old CGI kinda obvious but as long as you just sit back and enjoy the ride the movie is fine.

Besides, Halle Berry + Blu-Ray. Whats not to like?

Good movie, If you rent it chances are you will purchase it as well because you will want to see it more than once. So just purchase it stop wasting time and money by renting it, Buy it here...this seller has great prices...the cost of purchasing it will cost almost s much as renting it.

Action packed movie....starring John Travolta ,Haley Berry and Hugh.I would classify this movie as a action suspense movie since you dont really get the whole plot untill the end of the movie.great movie,reccomend giving it a watch.8 out of 10

This movie in my opinion is one of John Travolta's best. It is very interesting on how the bad guy is really the good guy! Again like I said, Very original

Swordfish is a very good movie. It's got a great plot and has a nice twist at the end. The Blu-Ray version was a very big surprise for me. It did a great job at making the picture look great. A lot of movies from this time just dont have a great deal of difference from DVD and Blu-Ray but Swordfish does a great job at enhancing the detail of the picture. IF you can get it for a deal, it's a must get but only get it if your a action movie guy.

GREAT EFFECTS. BLUE RAY SWORDFISH DVD is very entertaining. Will blow your mind away. Brings an already great movie into a whole nether level. Brand new at a gret price makes the cherry in the icing.

I especially like when Halle Berry shows off her great big boobies!!! There real and spectacular... Anyway lots of action, keeps you guessing and interested. Pretty good plot and great acting. Can't complain about the scenery in the movie either.. Pretty dang good!!!

this movie is one of the most under rated of our generation, aside from the odd hiccup (namely the extremely un-talented Halle Berry). The movie basically asks the most moral of all questions, what isa really good? what is REALLY the greater good? how far is too far? The seemingly bad guy uses terrorism to fight terrorism, takes it to its own back yard. You dislike him intently until RIGHT at the end where you do ask yourself "but really, was he THAT bad? was he worse than any war leader?"
Travolta and Hugh Jackman totally rock, and aside from Berry, the cast is superb (if Halle Berry isnt flashing her butt or breasts shes pretty much pointless in every movie shes in)

Blu ray makes the quality incredible and in this case, much more cinematic without losing its lustre and flavor.
Get it, totally awesome in every aspect!!

This will be one of the greatest movies of all time. in the way I see it!!! i own this movie on regular dvd format I had to get it on blue ray and in 1080P, if you haven't seen it i will tell you to buy it or rent it, you will understand what I mean!!
