The Sword in the Stone (DVD, 2001, Gold Collection Edition)

This Disney movie has fun characters and no evil villian. There's plenty of laughs and no scary parts...which means no nightmares and jumping into our bed in the middle of the night.
My kids love it and so do I. It is one of our family's favorite movie. One of the bests parts is that when they get older and learn about the Middle Ages--they will have a little background and something to relate to.
They also learn about a time long ago when things were different--no cars, tv's, etc. It gives them a different perspective, a history lesson, and a moral of don't count the littlest one as the weakest--all while being very entertaining.

I bought this movie because it was a favorite of mine as a child, but this seller is one of the worst I have ever dealt with. It has been 33 days now and I have not received my item and the seller has not responded to any of the 4 emails/messages I have sent. I think I will have to take action with Ebay and Paypal and try to obtain this title through a different seller...

Haven't been able to view this DVD as the item was never sent to me. Purchased and paid for on 01/27/08 - over a month ago. Seller said shipment would be delayed a few weeks - although the orginal listing said there were 191 in stock. Still waiting as of 03/02/08.

I paid for item and never got it. As soon as i paid for it the member gave up being a ebay member. I want my money back but i can not get a hold of buyer.Is there anything that ebay can do for me.

This is one of my most favorite movies of all time. It's got a great plot, comedy, entertaining, and It's got the classic Disney effect, which I don't feel much of anymore in newer Disney movies. There really isn't anything about it, it'll keep you hooked till the end of the movie.

My daughter loves the movie, puts her right out...parents good buy! Also, the movie itself is very entertaining as well, I don't mind watching and I am sure you will like it too. Good BUY!

This is one of the Disney classics that everyone should have in their collection of movies; great for children and adults.

the story of a boy and a wizard cut short by the power of the king allowing just enough teaching for this boy to become a man and not just any man but king....movie cut shor by the failure to show scene 17 (final scene)

The DVD came in good time, it didn't take a long time to get here. That was good.
It was what I wanted, the Sword in the Stone DVD. That was good.
But, it wasn't as professional as I had hoped - it was an old Blockbuster version, so it had a big Blockbuster sticker on it, making it look a little tacky as a gift. That was average.
But in the end, I believe if the movie works, that's what counts. So it was pretty good, but not superbly great.

It was very well packed and deliverd promptly to my house. Excelent communication on behalf the sellers part. Items looks good and works very well.

It's a movie that my husband has loved since childhood. I got it for him as a surprise for Easter and he was so happy. We watched it with our daughter and we all really enjoyed the story line. We miss the classic Disney Movies and are trying to collect them all. Excellent movie for people of all ages.

I love Sword in the Stone! It never gets old! I used to watch it all the time as a little boy and now at the age of 21 I am still watching it! Classic Disney movies like Sword in the Stone are great for all ages. It has a great story line with the classic battle of good versus evil and the wonderful journey of a young boys quest to discover his purpose in life. Its GREAT family fun with an adventurous and enlightening story. Its PERFECT for all ages and all families!

The movie was sent in a timely manner and was of good quality. I had the movie about a week and a half after I ordered it during Christmas time, which was nice.

I purchased this film as it is a Disney classic and it stands the test of time. Merlin the wizard provides non-stop entertainment as he takes the future King Arthur on a fun and magic filled journey with talking squirrels and fish and you name it! Great for children as the ultimate message sent is that education is the most important thing, but they won't think they're learning :)

I bought this DVD because my two sons are into knights right now. They talk about the most famous knights all the time and they also have read most of the books about the medieval times and knights.
The movie was a little boring though. It is cute but the story around King Arthur is way too short. We still enjoyed it!!!

I love this movie as well as my husband. It's a great kids movie and I bought it for my husband for his birthday.

What more can you ask for besides great condition - as described, fast delivery and excellent value? Not much, I would buy additional DVD's from this seller without hesitation.

Those who have watched the movie say it plays very well in several different DVD players; the package was still in the original box and had never been opened. With the the listed items above, such as entertainment value, new, fair cost, etc. coupled with quick response, good packing and shipping, the movie was a great purchase.

I don't have any cons for this movie.

This movie is one of greatest Disney classics ever produced and we were thrilled to finally find it on DVD and to add it to our home movie collection..

When I was a child I don't think I fully appreciated this movie, but as I grew older the songs became more catchy and Merlin was like the grandfather every child hopes for! I also think the art itself was something unlike other Disney films, maybe a more muted palette because of the medieval time-period and sorcery in the movie. All in all it's a great film and one every movie collection should have!!
