Swiss Family Robinson (DVD, 2002)

I grew up with this movie, and even 'all grown up', it never fails to entertain. The Robinson Family is stranded on an island filled with wild animals, and must survive until help arrives. Their adventures on the island, and their struggles to hold on to hope, to faith, to adventure, and to hold on to each other as a family, is endearing. Don't worry, though- this flick isn't all warmth and fuzz- there are pirate battles, storms, struggles to survive, zebras and tigers, a tree house every kid dreams about, a dash of romance, and their explorations of this strange and wonderful island that make this story unforgettable. Don't turn your back on a 60's classic. Swiss Family Robinson has stayed in the hearts and memories of those who watched it so long ago for a reason. Watch it for the first time, or with your kids, or refresh your memory. A great movie.

This was one of my favorite Disney movies when I was a kid and I'm so glad I could get it on DVD and share it with my nieces and nephews. It's like a fantasy come to life. To be stranded on an island and make a home out of it. It's almost as good as the book, but way better than I could have ever imagined it as I was reading.

A true Walt Disney Classic which includes a huge variety of animals and scenic panarama. Action packed from beginning to end, this film emphasises and celebrates true Christain values and the Patriarchy. The Socialist who assumed control over the modern anti-american version of Walt Disney Studios would never approve of the cast or charactors today. No, films will never be made like this again, PETA members would throw themselves off the Golden Gate Bridge in protest of the use of these animals on set! Establish your copy of this Film to DVD Classic, one Walt Disney personally approved of himself!

My 9 year old son loves this movie! The 1960 version is unbeatable! Good, clean, family fun! We LOVE the old Disney classics! Children should only be allowed to watch movies like this, then the world might not be so vulgar!

I love this classic. It reminds me of my childhood, watching the old episodes of the Swiss Family surviving on a tropical island.

My entire family loves this movie from my two year old son up to my husband. There are aspects of the movie that interest both our male and female children. I love that it is a wholesome movie for the entire family. Respect, hardwork, and teamwork are some of the things that the Swiss family members portray. There is danger, conflict, resolution, animal galore, amazing tree houses, gun fights..... An overall exciting movie that our family enjoys over and over.

Memories!!! It had been a long time since we had seen this film and it brought back fun memories and tears of the past when we, too, were stranded on an island for nearly a decade but, fortunately, we were on one in the South Pacific, not one near the African coast!

I have loved this movie for a long time and have it on video tape and thought it was time to upgrade to DVD. I found it and bought it for my husband to give it to me for Christmas. The second disc has interviews and information on the making of the movie. It is great.

A great Kid/Family movie with a shipwreck, treehouse, wild animals and a pirate fight. There's even a romance for the teeners. The Disney version is really even a bit better than the original book (although it takes more liberties regarding certain species crossing the Wallace line.) Better context, better visuals, had my 6 year old on his feet shouting.

I had looked for the movie at different locations and could not find this movie. Grandson loves it and I wanted one for his birthday. I knew I could find one on ebay. Sure enough, there it was and reasonable. I love shopping on ebay.

I love old Disney movies and this is one of my favorites! My entire family sat down and watched this movie and we all loved it.

Swiss Family Robinson is a very good movie, it's clean and wholesome. It's about a ship wreck and lost on a unknown island, they survive by working together and fight together. This is something that everyone should watch and learn from it. This is a must for your collection

I remember seeing this movie at the theater as a kid in the 60's. It is so full of fun for the entire family.

My children enjoyed this moving growing up, it is nice now to watch it with my grandson. He loves it especially with the same characters as Old Yeller.

I have always loved this movie. The scenery is gorgeous! We are adopting and I want to share this classic with our new daughter. I but movies that I know I will view a lot. This would be one of them!!

I love this movie, it is one of my all time favorites! Seeing this as a child, I always wanted to live in a tree house! So, I wanted to share it with 2 small children.

I have loved this movie since I was a little kid, now my kids have to chance to love it too. And with the special and bonus features available on this set I have learned about the making of one of my favorite movies.

I was told it was a full screen version. It is not. This is the second time I'm been burned on buying DVD's out two transactions. Not good.
