Sweet Potato Queens by Jill Conner Browne (2003, Paperback)

I stumbled across the SPQ Big Ass Cookbook and Financial Planner on accident while searching "cookbooks!" What a find!! Ms Brown is absolutely hilarious! I laid in bed reading and would die laughing...hubby would then have to know what was so funny! We ended up reading through the whole book! I laughed till I had tears streaming down my cheeks. Since then, I have purchased all of her books for my own reading pleasure and have given the boxed Set of Love to five different family members and friends so they could enjoy, too!! A co-worker is now a hooked Sweet Potato Queen, thanks to me, and she and I wore our pink wigs, boas, etc. at the office Halloween party!! The cookbook/financial planner has some awesome recipes in it, too. My family has enjoyed quite a few fat-filled recipes, especially Pig Bacon, and mmmmm-mmmmm, they sure were good! I saw on her website that she has a new book out...can't wait to get it! I live in Oklahoma, but grew up in Texas...any Southern gal will just love Ms Browne's books!! Read on....
