The Sweet Escape [PA] by Gwen Stefani (CD, Dec-2006, Interscope Records USA)

I love this CD. I happened to be at Meijer when it came out at midnight and bought it right away. I am a huge No Doubt and Gwen Stefani fan. I have to admit though, at first as with her LAMB disc, I didn't like it. But after a couple listens it grew on me bigtime and continues to do so. I think the fact that the music is so different and new and unlike anything I have heard was what turned me off those first couple of listens. This album is truly unique and has a lot of very catchy tunes on it, Flourescent being my favorite song. The ablum has a real 80's dance with techno, rock, rap and pop influence. It is really a whole hodge podge of musical genres. Whenever I have this CD in I feel like it's a magical musical fun time.
