Swarmed (DVD, 2006)

Story: This effects-laden creature feature presents a worldwide disaster, with two genetically mutated wasps escaping from a lab. They give birth to swarms of deadly offspring, which terrorize the citizenry of towns across the nation. As the infestation spreads, an indomitable band of scientists works to find a solution. Excellent movie, VERY HIGH QUALITY & DETAIL!!! ( especially in beginning when they zoom in on a yellow jacket wasp.
I've seen a simular movie ( forgot title ) of the late 1980's i believe that contained simular story, but then a swarm of bees crashes on a wedding, in this movie they crash a barbeque party.
Some hilarious scenes and a bit rediculous include the TV-star diving in a small pool of water, breathing through a air hose, and 2 wasps, slowly crawling through the air hose, and stinging him from the inside. A bit unbelievable, but well caught on camera ( or done by computer animation, not sure ) .

Another creepy scene is when the mayor get stung by a angry wasp & he attacks & stings him RIGHT on the eye, now THAT HAD TO HURT!
he then falls dead on his dinner plate, wasp getting caught and picks out his entire eye.
His secretary goes berserk and takes out a hidden ELEPHANT GUN and shoots the wasp dead with that, MUHAHAHA, OVERKILL ! :-D

The end is open, where the queen lays eggs in a vacuum cleaner which got torched in the shed, a bit unbelievable that she survived that mutch heat in a fire and all, but ok, it is a movie & all.

Definately Recommendable, great addition to your collection of horror movies. A+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
