A history of the ecosystem in the Everglades.
3 of 3 people found this review helpful.
This book tells a history of the ecosystem in the Everglades from its natural beginnings to later environmental destruction and eventual restoration projects. It describes the marsh’s containment by developers and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and efforts to protect it by Marjory Stoneman Douglas and others.
As with all of my reviews, I had the book read to me because my eyes could not hold out.
I am providing this same review for both versions of this book since they are the same.
