Suzuki Violin School (1999, Paperback)

These books are not one to buy to LEARN to play the violin. For that, you need another method book to teach you the basics. This book will not teach you how to read music.

Suzuki Book 1 is often used alongside Suzuki-based early learning classes. Many teachers also use it in early instruction because of the selections. Unlike most method books that include a line or two of a piece, this book includes the whole song. Some easy tunes are included for the beginner students. Variations are written to practice bowing and rhythm skills.

These books are also available on recording to listen to and/or play along with.
