Industry Reviews
"Macomber...explores the intricate dynamics of family with sincerity and wit in this well-crafted novel."
(02/13/2006)

"One of Macomber's great strengths is her insight into human behavior--both admirable and ignoble. Her ability to make her points about it without preaching is another...[T]his book utilizes both skills--and it does have its own unique charm."

Come Grow Old With Me, The Best Is Yet To Be

I just finished reading "Susanah's Garden" by Debbie Macomber. I found the book in the Best Sellers section at Walmart. This is the first time I have read a book by this author.

As a women in my 50s, I found this book very personal and close to my heart. Susannah Nelson had the responsibility of moving her elderly mother into assisted living. As she was sorting through papers in her childhood home, she realized that things were not what she had belived for many years.

She came to realize that her parents had difficult decisions to make and they did the best they could.

She learned to accept the responsibility for her part in problems with her own marriage and family.

This book has suspense, tragedy and love all tied together in the life of an ordinary woman with ordinary challenges and problems.

I look forward to reading another novel by Debbie Macomber.

Debbie can't write fast enough for me! She has a remarkable talent for weaving storylines of several ordinary characters into facinating reads.

This book deals with the complicated emotions that go along with being mother of a teen, the wife of a good but unexciting man, dealing with an aging mother and a father she wishes she'd been closer to when he was alive. And she manages to make this an intriguing story! That's what makes so many of us love Debbie Macomber books!

You'll love this book, and you'll want to read more by Debbie. She's written a lot of wonderful books and NONE will disappoint you!
