Rich engaging characters. Author is known for her honest portrayals of ordinary women in rural-town America and does not let you down in this one! A well paced insightful story that captures the growing friendship between women with real problems who become real friends!

I am a big fan of Macomber---reading dozens of her books. I enjoyed this book very much, even though it was a easy read, I thought it had depth. The main character could be related to because my family is going through some of the things the main character of the book was.

I read this story with my book club. The story started out very well with the main character thinking about the "what if" scenarios in her life. We all can relate to that. About 3/4 of the way through the book, the story takes some unexpected turns to keep the reader interested, however, becomes a little on the unbelievable side. The ending did wrap things up with a "little red bow", but was very unlikely to really happen to most people. I think the author should have kept the story more on a realistic side and should have explored the emotional/mental issues of the main character instead of turning the story into a "grand adventure" which wasnt likely to happen in the life of an average woman. Still, it was a pleasant read with easy dialogue and some mother/daughter conflict that women can relate to.

Another Great book by my favorite Author...Debbie Macomber...
This book could have been any of our lives. Dealing with putting our mother in a retirement center to dealing with our rebelious teen daughter. Finding out that we hated our father for nothing and reconnecting with our husband after hoping to find our high school sweetheart.I really loved this book and I hope the ending just means that there will be another book to follow.

Again another wonderful book by Debbie Macomber, my favorite author.
This book dealt with having to put a mother into a nursing home and dealing with the mother's home and belongings. It also put a new found love and
respect for the daughter's daughter into prospective. A new found closeness
between the three main characters.
This book could easily be any one of us in dealing with elderly parents and
an unruley child who is approaching adulthood. Excellent book and I would
recommend it to anyone, especially Debbie Macomber fans.

I like the style of writing that Debbie Macomber does. She doesn't fill the pages with raw sex, but gives you a very good clean read. I bought the book because I am a Debbie Macomber fan and enjoy her books very much.

I thought surely this must be one of the Blossom Street books since Susannah's Garden is mentioned in the last book I read -- & it is certainly related. They ought to make a movie of this book. It is wonderful. How does McComber do it?? More surprises than ever. Do not hesitate buy this book wherever you can find it.

This is a very easy to read, homey type story with believable, likable characters.
It is nice to follow her characters in other books because you feel you know them.
I buy one of her books and it gets well used because it goes from me to my Mother, to my sister, to my aunts.........

Haven't read yet... saving for vacation. Read a review on this series and it sounded like interesting reading... I don't understand why I must type at least 100 characters, when just a few will get the thought across to any small minded person or computer program.

I enjoyed this book because it is about a 50 year old woman dealing with an elderly mother and College student and that is what I am dealing with in my life. I like Debbie Macomber because her writing flows easily and the subject matter is wholesome.

  Remember your first love?..........
Review created: 01/26/07

As always, I'm proud to proclaim that she is one of my very favorite authors, writing about characters that are so like us we feel we know them from the first intro, putting them in chaos and harmony that echoes experiences any of us could have in our lives. I could not put this book down and like I always have, I fell in love with the characters. Fabulous!
