I think this is GFR's finest album, its to bad they don't make em like this anymore. They're rendition of Gimme Shelter make the stones original version sound like a cover, its more soulful, gritier, and overall better version

Survival-Grand Funk RailroadThe album takes you back to the 70's. The thing about it though is that the music has relevance for today. One of GFR's best.

) If you like soulful, heavy rock music with a wonderful blend of melody, you will love this CD. Political lyrics sang in a most spiritual manner. Originally recorded in 1971 the anti war sentiment is very strong. This was the bands 4th release and they had really perfected an original and energetic sound. They were big when Black Sabbath, Deep Purple and Led Zeppelin were just hitting the scene. If you like those groups, GFR is every bit as good.

A surprisingly super album. Nothing sloppy about the music! This is Grand Funk's best effort in my oppinion an easy album to listen to over and over and over!This is a must buy for any music lover! Just set back and get lost in some of Farner's best music and lyric ever!!!

Had the record album back in the 70s. The CD is better plus the added songs make it great!!!! All the songs are clear. No skipping. Highly recommend it.
