This book by Jack Deere talks about the the early church from the book of Acts, and why in today's world Christians are NOT having the close personal experiences with God, and how we can achieve them. This is a must read for all new Christians and for those more grounded. Many reference scriptures. We read the Bible but with indifference and not much sincereity. How to know when God is talking to you? Read the book.
