Supernova (DVD, 2006)

Story:
In John Harrison's cheesy but highly enjoyable action movie, Luke Perry stars as an astrophysicist who discovers that the sun is about to explode, and take the Earth with it, unless he can find a way to prevent it. Tia Carrere, Peter Fonda, Emma Samms, and Lance Henriksen round out the game cast.

Comments:
Miniseries again. Meteor strikes the sun and as a result the sun grows & soon becomes a supernova, about to destroy every planet in the galaxy.
1 scientists sees this, emails a couple of guys, and then vanishes to prepare himself, as he does not want to become part of '' operation phoenix '' where they try to preserve humankind by a superlarge underground cave-like world where they prepare for disasters of this magnitude.

Part one is interesting, part 2 however i didn't like so mutch, because they try to stop '' operation phoenix '' witch is a good idea in my opinion.

The end rather suxed, the scientist has made a miscalculating, and the sun doesn't go supernova for a long time.

Great movie, very mutch recommendable, especially for those people who think like what the hell is going on with the enviroment, temperatures keeps rising, etc.

A real think-about movie this one. A++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
