Supercar - The Complete Series (DVD, 2003, 5 Disc Boxed Set)

Supercar is a supermarionation series about a car that was years ahead of it's time. The main character of the series is a car that is able to race on land, through the sky, or under the sea. They called it "the marvel of the age." The series ran in the 1960's.
This series was not greatly popular because it only ran for 39 episodes, and it was the first of it's kind. It was later followed by more popular shows, such as "Thunderbirds" and "Stingray." This series is actually so little known that my brother and I were starting to think my father was crazy! He kept telling us and other people about the show and asking them if they have heard of it. This went on for a couple years, and we could not find anyone who had seen it or heard of it, so we just assumed that it was a figment of his imagination, until we found it on ebay. I purchased the DVD set for him from ebay. We can't tease him about it anymore, but he is going to be so excited about getting it that it is worth being wrong.
The DVD set itself is excellent, especially for someone who remembers it from their childhood. It contains every episode made in the order they were originally broadcast. It is digitally remastered, and contains a commentary, a special featurette, and a colored picture gallery. This DVD set contains almost 17 hours, plus the extras, of childhood memories for any father or grandfather that remembers this series.
