It's another must have game for Nintendo.
Story-0
It's a fighting game, there's no need for story. Otherwise, how could you explain the logic behind a fight between Mario and Solid Snake.
Well actually there is a story mode that you can play together with your friend (only up to 2 players in this mode). It's very fun also. Basically you fight the enemy to rescue your friends. Ganondorf and Bowser are trying to capture all the characters and destroy earth, it's up to you to make save all of your friends and earth. After you have finished the game, you will be able to play as Sonic.
Graphics-10
Easily one of the best graphics for any game available for the system. Movie/FMV in the game is excellent.
Gameplay/Control-10
Top notch.. You have the option to use the Wiimote, Classic Controller, or GameCube controller. I just love the GameCube controller since it feels natural for me. I have been playing Super Smash Bros Melee for the last few years on my Game Cube. And it just feels right to continue playing this game using the GC controller.
Like the previous game in the series, there are plenty of characters that you have to unlock by accomplishing several objectives.
Get this game now, it's must game for every Wii owner. Make sure you get your friends to come over to your place to play this game. (Well, you can play this game online too actually; but I havent tried this feature yet, thus i cannot give any comment yet) .Trust me that this game will be a lot more FUN when you play it with your friends.
BONUS GAME: there are plenty of 'retro' bonus games that you can play in the game. There's a time restriction in how long you can play the game. So far I have found these games: Kirby (NES), StarFox (N64), F-ZERO (SNES), Super Mario World (SNES), Metroid, Donkey Kong, and many others.
For parents, this game got 'Teen' rating. It got cartoon violence and crude humor.

There are video games that try to make you cry. There are games that gross you out. There are games that tell a sweeping story. There are games that make you think seriously about the world around you.
Super Smash Bros. Brawl, which was released by Nintendo this week, is none of those. Brawl is about one thing: simple fun. And that’s good enough. In fact, it’s so good that Brawl will almost surely be one of the top-selling games of 2008 and may become the best-selling game yet for Nintendo’s popular Wii console.
It is certainly the most anticipated game released this year (at least until Grand Theft Auto IV comes out next month, but G.T.A. is aimed at an entirely different audience). Thousands of fans, disappointed after the game missed its original release date in December, have flocked to advance tournaments and demonstrations in recent months. Last Sunday, GameStop, the major game retailer, held Brawl tournaments at thousands of its stores. (The regional finals are this weekend, with the national finals next month in San Jose, Calif.)
In some ways, Brawl is a throwback, a gamer’s game. The successor to the original 1999 Super Smash Bros. and 2001’s Super Smash Bros. Melee (which has sold more than seven million copies for Nintendo’s GameCube), Brawl is all about jumping, spinning and unleashing various attacks to knock your opponent — whether human- or machine-controlled — off the screen.
The secret sauce in the Smash Bros. formula has always been its diverse range of characters taken from other game franchises. Even companies outside Nintendo have seen the value of licensing their famous characters to the Brawl series. If you like console games, Brawl is like having Luke Skywalker, James Bond and Indiana Jones all in one (impossibly improbable) movie.
Brawl’s roster reads like a Who’s Who of Japanese console stars. It includes Mario, Princess Peach, Zelda, Link, Donkey Kong, Pikachu (from the Pokémon series) and Samus Aran (Metroid). Perhaps most interesting, it also includes major characters from outside Nintendo, like Sonic the Hedgehog (from Sega) and Solid Snake (from Konami’s Metal Gear series).
In their own games, these characters are central and often engaged in deep stories. In Brawl, they are reduced to slightly different packages of teenager-friendly combat moves. It’s a bit like seeing Gandalf as a sword-and-staff-swinging melee machine (as he has been in some Lord of the Rings action games) rather than as the driver of a sweeping plotline.
But on its own terms, as a relatively easy-to-play fighting game that is ultimately no more gory or violent than Saturday morning cartoons, as a game with no larger point than trash-talking friends or relatives on the couch as you bop their character off the next ledge, it’s great. And there’s nothing wrong with that.

This game never seems to go bad, each version just seems to get better and better, I figured it wouldnt be as fun with the Wii remote, but i just plugged in my wireless GC controllers and its perfect! I love the online play as well. Excellent game!

Best, friendly fighting game for house party!There's lots of detailed reviews so I'm going to summarize from my perspective. It's the highest rated Wii game and for a good reason. It's beyond fun. Even though you might not think a fight game will be so highly rated, it's actually really entertaining and a great way to entertain in a house party. One warning you'll leave with sore fingers. Two thumbs way up!

I heard that super smash was the game to get if you had a wii. So i got one, at first i played i found it boring, but then i started adventure mode and man thats when you get the hang of things and it makes you want to play more. So far its been fun, and ive played on wi fi. This would be a great game to play your friends. Best game i have played on the wii so far, and i own mario galaxy the game of the year too. Also i have to mention that my friend that is a girl didnt like the game, and so far ive known only guys who like this game, so if your a girl you might not like it.

brawl is great for all ages there are lot of new fighters like wario, solid snake,zero suit samus, lucas, wolf, and toon link if you can't decide whether or not to buy it i say you buy it its worth every penny if you liked melee you will love brawl because brawl has great graphics (way better than melee) and about 1/3 more fighters and the stages are great the only thing i dont like about the stages is they are smaller than they should be but the cool thing about the stages is they were all new not carry overs from melee but you can unlock melee stages and there is even a stage builder where you can create your own stages the adventure mode is way better than in melee brawl is 100000000000000000000000000000

Endless replay value, the best yet of the Smash Bros. franchise. A little disappointed that it doesn't make use of the unique Wii controls, but nonetheless it is still fun to get four friends together and bash each others' brains out Nintendo style. The adventure mode makes it more fun to hone your single player skills.

If you like RPG's, then you have to get this, this lets you play adventure mode with any character. But, if you are thinking about any other super smash bros games, the one for the wii is way different than the other smash bros. Or if that's boring, then you can either play online, you need a thing called a router, (pronunciation, row-ter). (And for the router, you need a computer). And also, you can build your own stages! It's very fun to do, you can either make a small level, a medium level, or a very large level! And to go along with the levels, you can choose music to go along with it, (Only songs of SSBB(Super smash bros brawl))
It's a very fun game, and there's way more characters! If you like metal gear, then Snake IS not IN this game, for those of you that don't get it, he is in the game. You've got to beLIEve me that this is not a LIE. And if it is (Which it's not), oh well.

Easily the best Smash Brothers to dateThe newest version of Smash Brothers for the Wii is easily the best version to date. The game has new characters never seen in previous Smash Bros. and the first player adventure mode is superbly put together with cool cut scenes. The game is a must own for the Wii especially if you are a Smash Brothers fan!

I have to tell you that I was pleasantly suprised with smash bros. I really thought I would be dissapointed b/c I have been by so many of the other wii titles. But smash bros comes through with a big bang. The grafics and gameplay are fantastic. You have a good selection of characters and the variety of objects you can pick up and use is great (my favorite is the donkey kong hammer).
This is definately my new favorite game for the wii (Tiger Woods is a close 2nd b/c of the amazing control with the wiimote). The only downside is some of the boards are a little over the top, you actually spen more time trying to stay on the board than fighting. Definately a 5 star game and an absolute must have game!
The violence may be a bit much for young children.

Totally AwesomeThis game has it all, amazing characters, map creator, and even the homerun contest. The smash ball was a great addition. The only downside I see is that the game data can't be saved on an SD card. I played it at my friends house and we beat it and then when I got the game, I couldn't take his data. Oh, and Lucario is the shiz.

This game is awesome! There's so much to do! Mini-games, challenges, classic tournaments, an adventure game--and that's all in solo mode! There is also a multi-player mode and on-line play, as well. Not to mention unlockable characters, levels, and challenges! Highly addicting...and highly recommended!
