Super Smash Bros. Brawl - BEST PARTY GAME for Wii

It's another must have game for Nintendo.

Story-0
It's a fighting game, there's no need for story. Otherwise, how could you explain the logic behind a fight between Mario and Solid Snake.

Well actually there is a story mode that you can play together with your friend (only up to 2 players in this mode). It's very fun also. Basically you fight the enemy to rescue your friends. Ganondorf and Bowser are trying to capture all the characters and destroy earth, it's up to you to make save all of your friends and earth. After you have finished the game, you will be able to play as Sonic.

Graphics-10
Easily one of the best graphics for any game available for the system. Movie/FMV in the game is excellent.

Gameplay/Control-10
Top notch.. You have the option to use the Wiimote, Classic Controller, or GameCube controller. I just love the GameCube controller since it feels natural for me. I have been playing Super Smash Bros Melee for the last few years on my Game Cube. And it just feels right to continue playing this game using the GC controller.

Like the previous game in the series, there are plenty of characters that you have to unlock by accomplishing several objectives.

Get this game now, it's must game for every Wii owner. Make sure you get your friends to come over to your place to play this game. (Well, you can play this game online too actually; but I havent tried this feature yet, thus i cannot give any comment yet) .Trust me that this game will be a lot more FUN when you play it with your friends.

BONUS GAME: there are plenty of 'retro' bonus games that you can play in the game. There's a time restriction in how long you can play the game. So far I have found these games: Kirby (NES), StarFox (N64), F-ZERO (SNES), Super Mario World (SNES), Metroid, Donkey Kong, and many others.

For parents, this game got 'Teen' rating. It got cartoon violence and crude humor.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl Awesome Review

There are video games that try to make you cry. There are games that gross you out. There are games that tell a sweeping story. There are games that make you think seriously about the world around you.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl, which was released by Nintendo this week, is none of those. Brawl is about one thing: simple fun. And that’s good enough. In fact, it’s so good that Brawl will almost surely be one of the top-selling games of 2008 and may become the best-selling game yet for Nintendo’s popular Wii console.

It is certainly the most anticipated game released this year (at least until Grand Theft Auto IV comes out next month, but G.T.A. is aimed at an entirely different audience). Thousands of fans, disappointed after the game missed its original release date in December, have flocked to advance tournaments and demonstrations in recent months. Last Sunday, GameStop, the major game retailer, held Brawl tournaments at thousands of its stores. (The regional finals are this weekend, with the national finals next month in San Jose, Calif.)

In some ways, Brawl is a throwback, a gamer’s game. The successor to the original 1999 Super Smash Bros. and 2001’s Super Smash Bros. Melee (which has sold more than seven million copies for Nintendo’s GameCube), Brawl is all about jumping, spinning and unleashing various attacks to knock your opponent — whether human- or machine-controlled — off the screen.

The secret sauce in the Smash Bros. formula has always been its diverse range of characters taken from other game franchises. Even companies outside Nintendo have seen the value of licensing their famous characters to the Brawl series. If you like console games, Brawl is like having Luke Skywalker, James Bond and Indiana Jones all in one (impossibly improbable) movie.

Brawl’s roster reads like a Who’s Who of Japanese console stars. It includes Mario, Princess Peach, Zelda, Link, Donkey Kong, Pikachu (from the Pokémon series) and Samus Aran (Metroid). Perhaps most interesting, it also includes major characters from outside Nintendo, like Sonic the Hedgehog (from Sega) and Solid Snake (from Konami’s Metal Gear series).

In their own games, these characters are central and often engaged in deep stories. In Brawl, they are reduced to slightly different packages of teenager-friendly combat moves. It’s a bit like seeing Gandalf as a sword-and-staff-swinging melee machine (as he has been in some Lord of the Rings action games) rather than as the driver of a sweeping plotline.

But on its own terms, as a relatively easy-to-play fighting game that is ultimately no more gory or violent than Saturday morning cartoons, as a game with no larger point than trash-talking friends or relatives on the couch as you bop their character off the next ledge, it’s great. And there’s nothing wrong with that.

Overall Rating: I give it a 9 out of 10

Anyone who is a fan of Nintendo games will enjoy this game. Retro characters from all the consoles and games of the past are showcased on this game. My family always enjoyed the Smash Brothers games on older consoles. This version has become a family favorite. It is hours of non-stop fun. This past Saturday night, we battled while KK Slider from Animal Crossing had a concert at 8pm. It was too cool that he played the background music on a lit stage as we battled! It is easy to learn this game. It is not something that only advanced players can play. No real blood, death or dying from a fighting game is a welcome bonus for the younger and faint of heart players. There are mini games that are fun. You can collect trophies and items in the game as you play. My family really enjoys this game. It is one of their favorites on the Wii system. I would HIGHLY recommend this game to anyone considering it.

It is one of the best multiplayer party games out there. It is fun and it is just great. You get some retro feeling of previous Super Smash Bros. games. It is like walking down memory lane with better graphics and a slight difference of not button mashing.

This game has a lot to it and may become one of the best Wii games.
It has an elabortated solo mode with a standard arcade mode, an adventure mode under the name of sub space emissary, a training mode and so on. Multiplayer wise you can ask a bouch of friends to come home and play or join with them online, choosing a nickname and associating each of your character's taunt with a personified "war cry". Not to mention that you may also find new opponents online although you will not be able to know their identity.
If you're wondering if the online gaming will be too competitive, you might have a surprise knowing that although the game has kept most of the characteristics it had on Game Cube, Super Smash Bros. Brawl doesn't allow WaveDashing anymore which will allow new players to become more challenging towards the "Melee pros".
A few general bright sides is that the game has kept his simplicity in using the attack button and the spacial button. On the other hand, we still find that each character has unique abilities which adds to the depth of the game. Melee on Game Cube was already full with different strategies due to the 26 different characters, but know with 35 characters, the game will suite any kind of strategy.
This game does have a few down sides through. The loading sessions are a little too long which may break the atmosphere built by a cut scene. Also, the online mode seems to have connection problems when brawling against random people.
All in all, this game is a most have for Wii owners as it great fun alone, with friends, whither next to you or on the other side of the globe, thsi game shows endless possibilities for our entertainment.

Best fighting game on the wii

By now we should all be familiar with the Super Smash Bros. formula: Mix basic platforming action with old-school, button-pressing, arcade-style combat while adding copious amounts of, oh, every Nintendo game ever made. With Super Smash Bros. Brawl, it's a fan-service smorgasbord at its glorious best, folding in not only all of the goodies that made it into the series' two previous iterations (Super Smash Bros. and Super Smash Bros. Melee), but just about every bit of Nintendo lore that's surfaced between Melee's 2001 release and now. This includes appearances of hardcore, obscure stuff like Electroplankton and Sin and Punishment paraphernalia, Captain Olimar and his Pikmin, and just about any first-party Nintendo tidbit you can think of. For Nintendo fans, that's great stuff. The more the merrier. But how does the game balance out between the die-hard fans and the less committed? ...

Super Smash Bros. Brawl is an awesome game for the Wii. The gameplay and graphics are to die for! Everything feel's like a movie. :)

The Wii control's are intuitive and free flowing so that you can actually have fun in this first person fighter. :)

There is plenty of game play here that has kept me busy for hours. Even if you are not a fan of this 1st person shooter you'd enjoy this game.

Get it, play it, and BRAWL it! :)

Great Game!

Anyway, just want to let you know how you can get a free ps3. Yes, there is a way to get free stuff on the internet, no tricks, and this is legit and has been proving by FOX news, CNN. Just search freebie CNN on youtube and you’ll find it.

Now I’m going to explain it how you can get free stuff
If you want a free ps3, go to this link

http://www.YourPS34free.com/index.php?ref=5621890

But if you want other stuff instead, go to this

http://www.YourFreeiStuff.com/index.php?ref=5698663

Now you want to put your email and sign up. Believe me, they’re not going to send you any spam emails or anything like that, you can trust this sites as it is scanned everyday by MCaffe’s secure.

After you sign up, they’re going to ask you which account you want to use. I recommend referral account as it is easier.

Next you want to complete your offer requirement to receive credit before you refer to other people.
There are a lot of offers to pick on from, like Gamefly, Netflix, and Emusic. After you do that, you need to gather referrals. For the basic ps3 console, you need 8 referrals. That’s not too bad right? Just tell your family, friends, advertise it on a blog or forums and you will get your referrals.

There’s no commitment by doing this. Even if you don’t want to do the offer requirement, it’s nothing wrong just to check it out =)

Super Smash Bros. Brawl (Wii) EXCELLENT

So you own a Wii, right? Of course you have Super Smash Bros. Brawl...? NO!?! Why not?! This is a must have game for the Nintendo Wii. Highly addictive and very fast paced.

This game can be enjoyed on so many levels and will stand the test of time.
So many different characters from classic nintendo and even sega to choose from. Master the moves to defeat your opponent and knock them out of the ring. Don't let them fight their way back to the safety of the ring or you could find yourself being the one in trouble!

Hurry and get yourself a copy of this amazing game! Fight the computer or people across the world or play one of the story modes that take at least 10 hours to complete. Use the remote and nunchuk or the classic controller. Get brawling!

I bought the super smash bros wii game for my 2 sons age 12 & 10. They seem to like it a lot and are very good at it. I am glad that they are also very active with other sports like basketball and lacrosse. While I like the video games I do feel that people need to balance it with physical activity. Good product.

nintendo will fix the error that is generated when you insert this CD. some wii's can't read it since it's new technology (dual-read CD) involved in this game. the only drawback is that you have to send your ENTIRE wii along WITH the game for them to fix it. it's free, but yeah, it takes a few days without your system. great game, though!

I really liked the single player aspect of this game. There are lots of things you can do without someone playing with you. You can also play the classic single player mode where you fight guys to get to master hand. However, the game in general is not as fun as the original. It is not as much skill as getting good items...

Super Smash Bros. Brawl was a hit with me!
Review created: 10/26/08
1 of 1 people found this review helpful.

I've been playing Super Smash Bros. since the first game came out on the N64. In my opinion, each one has really been an improvement because so much more content is added in each game, and there is little ever removed. The only negative things I have heard about this game regard the re-balancing of the characters. Maybe a character did better in Super Smash Bros. Melee than it can do in Brawl. These in my opinion have generally been good because it does what it sets out to do: balance the characters. In Melee, Marth was definitely one of the best characters in my mind, and also in many of my friends'. In Brawl, he seems to be powered down to just another character. He still does well, but he won't dominate.
Of the content removed, I noticed there is no "race to the finish" event in this game. This may have been an unpopular part of Melee, and therefore was disposable. There is also no "trophy catcher." This was most likely eliminated because it made getting new trophies that much easier.
There are many more characters in this game than there was in Melee, which was also many more than in the original. More choices, more fun, right?
I also enjoy the Challenges quite a bit. It encourages doing more than just multi-player brawls or one player classic mode.
The stage builder is a great addition for this game. The ability to make your own stage gives you endless possibilities of new levels. The only complaint about this section is the inability to place some pieces adjacent to other pieces, limiting what you can really do. It would be nice to be able to choose from more skins for the level as well.

I like this nearly as much as Melee, which I had for seven years now (yeah, I cant believe it's been that long). I never stopped playing Melee, until now. I was very skilled at Smash Bros Melee because I always fought on the most difficulty, level 9, but Brawl made me feel a little wimpy after fighting the characters on level 9, because they made the behavior of the characters quite smarter, but I'll be training! And I LOVE adventure mode! It is awesome!!! Trust me, BUY THIS GAME IF YOU HAVE A Wii! It was rated a 9.5/10 by the worlds largest computer and video game magazine company!
