Super Mario Bros. 3 is one of the best games from the history of Nintendo
It is a platformer which was released on 23 October 1988 (Japan), 12 February 1990 (Amerika) and 29 august (Europe). The purpose of the game is to beat Bowser and free Princess Peach. You can use many different power-ups. For example , you can fly , shoot fire, change into a frog so you can swim better, etc.. The game had 90 levels and many minigames (which was pretty amazing then) and is seen by many as one of the greatest games. I personally had this game when I was a kid and it was a great game then. I have this game now and it is still a great game !! I strongly recomend it !

  BEST IN SERIES!!!!!

My favorite NES game is now avaiable on the GBA. This game was just awesome when it first arrived, and It's just as good on the GBA. They have updated the graphics with better colour. The sound has also changed, with the addition of, you guessed it, character voices. Mario or Luigi will say things in their italian accent when getting power ups or 1-up mushrooms. I feel they are a welcome addition, though they are very unliked. Another change is Luigi being different then Mario. He does his crazy SMB2 leg kicking thing when he jumps, thus making him jump higher. Besides that its the same great suit-filled sidescroller. The strange power-ups are still here, and even one new power-up only useable with the e-Reader.

Yes, Nintendo has included new goodies with the e-Reader package. It's a good idea, but you don't really need it to enjoy the game. And of course, the original Mario Bros. arcade game is here for multi-player action.

Overall, this game is just fun. Though alot more challenging than most of Mario's game, it is still amazingly entertaining.

This game came with my NES back in the early 90's. I could not stop playing this game because it was so much fun. I used the Game Genie with this game and I used to skip through all of the levels. It was fun flying through the game with the racoon tail. Great classic game!!! A++++++++

Super Mario. Bros 3 for Nintendo - Brings back memories
Review created: 09/28/05

Wow I loved this game and I thank eBay for bringing it back to me and my Nintendo. Super Mario Bros. 3 was so innovative and so different. From riding Yoshi and gobbling up berries to putting on the Racoon tail and flying through levels. The best part of the game is that the graphics still hold up - its a two-dimensional environment where the background stays somewhat still. The bosses are excellent. There are nearly unlimited number of cheats and secrets - the game is fantastic and will provide hours of great gameplay. My only problem is that it only saves after you beat bosses or ghost houses.

Super Mario Bros. 3 Nintendo Nes 1990

When I was choosing to write the review for Super Mario Bros. 3, I couldn't believe it when I saw the rating at a mere 4.5! I hope my input brings it back up to a rightious 5/5 because ths game deserves ALL THAT!

Not only did this game have one of the biggest marketing campaigns but it sold I believe to have 3 million copies of SMB 3. Incredible! It has the title for the most games sold and this title was lived to it's expectations. Super Mario Bros. 3 has to be one of the most fun games on the Nintendo Entertainment system.

Nintendo itself sets high standards for Mario games and you can tell that with the launch of Super Mario Bros. 3, they needed to always beat the standards. You play as Mario in a world full of crazy characters. You are on a mission to save "Kings" in different worlds. In the first world I believe the mushroom king gets kidnapped so you need to go through the world to find him. It always ends up being the last place you visited lol. This game no only brings back nostologia....but an incredible experiance as a youngster. Please email me for anything questions if you like. Thanks!

If you've never picked up an NES controller, now would definately be the time to do it. Especially if you haven't played Super Mario Brothers 3! Hands down, this is the best one of the SMB series. If you finally get to the point where you can beat the entire game in 11 minutes, you'll be among masters. ^.^ This is a game everyone should play on the ORIGINAL PLATFORM! You won't have the same experience.

When I was a kid, this was all I seemed to play and to this day, it is still a blast.. This is probably one of the best Mario games out there and is a must have for any kind of fan. You will not be disappointed and will love this game for as long as you play it. To sum it up, there are many levels and many different strategies and items to use as you go through the huge and diverse world.. Have fun!

  Best NES Mario Game
Review created: 01/12/07

What an awesome game! It really stood up threw time and is still lots of fun to play, enough that Nintendo got the idea to repackage all the Mario games all over again and have them come out for GameBoy Advance and they still sold like hot cakes, almost over a decade after they were originally released!

8 Worlds, each one has it's own theme and music, every well put together, fun yet challenging at the same time. Even after you beat the game, you can still play all over again, but the 2nd time through your given 28 P-Wings.... BEST.ITEM.EVER in the game. What a classic is suppose to be.

Super Mario Bros. 3.....Best game ever for the NES?

If you are reading this review than you are probably like me and grew up with an NES controller in your hands. The original nintendo put many great titles out but I dont know if there are any that quite compare to Super Mario 3. Mario has been the corner stone basically since the beginning of nintendo and Super Mario 3 really propelled nintendo into the future. The game is a great side scroller with many hidden secrets and Mario can do many different things like grow, fly, and swim. Its even a great two player game as you can take turns with your friend passing levels and helping each other out to try and find the whistles so you can warp to harder levels and try to beat it. There is great replayability in this title and if you still own a working NES, I recommend picking up this game and reliving a few of your childhood memories. And as for wether this is the greatest NES game ever made...you will have to play and find out.

The game is good.It makes me feel good. The people who made it are good.My friend is good at this game.He likes baseball.I like basketball.I play football too.I can jump high.I like strawberries.I take a dump the same time everyday. My brother has a snake. It dont bite.Im scared of snakes, and spiders.I like swimming. Its scary sometimes though.Sharks live in the water. So do fish.I cook fish at work.My friend at work has a nintendo. So do I.I bought Mario 3 off of ebay and it is one of the greatest classics ever.It was a game that was way ahead of it's time.Simple enough for children, yet challenging enough for an avid gamer,I would rate this game 4 out of 5 stars.I like stars. And the moon....

We bought the Super Mario Bros.3 for NES, a few weeks ago. I hadn't played this game in 15 years; It was just as I remember it, maybe even better. We own a PS2 and an X-Box, but still, Mario Bros. 3 is one of the most fun games to play. Go back and relive your youth,by playing this game, and you won't be disappointed. If you've never played this game, you can discover what I'm writing about. The old NES is still the BEST!

What a great game! We can never forget what is was like the first time we got that leaf, sprouted a tail, and took off into flight with Super Mario Bros. 3! Although he hadn't yet made his jump to 3D, the gameplay in this adventure was superb! The story is classic, the princess has been kidapped, and everything else we love about the Mario story. With the secret warp whistle and whatnot, This game is a great play to this day! Thank you for reading our opinion

Simply put, the best Mario Bros. in the franchise. It was at the point that the programmers knew how to full utilize the power of the NES. A must for vintage gamers.

i bought this to go along with my nintendo that i just bought to bring back memories. This is a great game. too hard for little kids It would work for about 7and up. Me and my 23 year old friend play it all the time. It does need cleaning every now and then and you need to blow on it,but that is normal for nintendo cartridges

Super Mario Bros. 3 is the best Mario game Nintendo has to offer. It is a little more challenging but has alot more to offer the gamer. For example, mario gets to fly in this game with the right tool. I think anyone would like this game and it is for all ages.

My husband and I just got our vintage NES from his mother's house and decided to show our kids what type of games we used to play when we were younger. Mario's content is family friendly and we all enjoy playing it. We received the games in great condition, considering how old they were! Shipping however took longer than expected. I contaced the seller and recevied a response quickly. I would buy more games from the seller in future!

Super Mario 3 may be on the NES but what makes that bad??? NOTHING!!! Hey, the graphics may not be the best but the gameplay rocks my socks!!! You can choose multi-player or single player mode to pass a series of levels and beat the dreaded Bowser. This game features extra levels such as the toad house and the lottery machines levels where you can get all sorts of items and extras lifes. Battle till you get to world 8 and then find your self in Bowsers level!!! If you love Mario games then this is a must have!!! If you hate them then boy are you missing out!!! This game is AWESOME!!!!! Thanks for looking!!!

  Super Mario bros 3
Review created: 07/02/06
2 of 2 people found this review helpful.

The best game in Mario Bros series, Super Mario Bros. 3 introduced new moves and abilities to the sidescrolling platformer franchise. The third game in the series gets rid of Mario's turnip-pulling abilities and replaces them with new feats like flying via the raccoon suit, and hammer throwing with the Hammer Bros. suit. The idea is once again to thwart Bowser's evil plans and battle your way across eight different themed worlds to win a kiss from the Princess.

Super Mario Bros 3 is a game which (like the first 2) provides some light entertainment that can be picked up and played without much thought.

If you're over 20, and you owned a NES when you were yonger, it's almost guaranteed you had this game and playing it will bring back so many good memories!

It lacks a save feature, as do all NES games, but i don't remember it being a problem 15 years ago and it certainly isn't a major problem now, it's just that we're so used to it now!
