Super Mario 64 was not only one of the two games released at the launch of the N64, but it also was the game that changed many minds about 3-Dimensional gaming. Much criticism faced the idea of bringing a Mario game to 3D, but it was pulled off perfectly. In this game, Mario has to fight his way through 15 giant courses in order to collect Power Stars to rescue Princess Peach. There are 120 different Power Stars in this game, and Mario is required to complete a puzzle or some sort of task to get each Power Star. When you have enough Power Stars, you can fight Bowser in a beautifully rendered 64 bit world. This game has become quite a legend, and truly is a "Must Have" title for any Nintendo 64 collection. Pick up a copy of this game ASAP if you don't already own it.

WOW!!! If you have never played this game, you really are missing a TRUE CLASSIC!! I won't take up to much space about this game because I could use pages and pages about all the good aspects and features of this game. I think I will sum it up with: STILL TO THIS DAY, REGARDLESS OF CONSOLE - BEST GAME MADE TO DATE...PERIOD!!!

my kids played with this game for a year without getting bored. they are still enjoying it, and have not yet got to the end.. one of the best.

A fun for the WHOLE family game that is filled with adventure and surprises. I love the characters and the cuteness of this game. I am finding that more and more video games these days are getting too dark and violent which was really not the way it was for me growing up. Now that I have kids I have to carefully choose what they can play and this is one of the games that fits the bill perfectly. I have always loved Mario and this one is at the top of the list for me. This game is the best n64 game ever...i used to play it untill block buster stop letting you rent n64 games....but this game is a must have....i just bought it because it is a ton of fun...if you tried paper mario you might like this one more, so you should find some ones for sale and buy it

Simply the best game ever made. No game has ever made such a splash when it came out in any time period. Nintendo perfected the analog control on their FIRST try. This game can last you ages, it has for me, 8 years in all. A perfect soundtrack and extra challenging levels later in the game. A must have, hardcore gamer or casual.

Mario is just so much fun.He can run,jump,climb,AND hang on.Get shot from a cannon.SWim with beautiful fish,search for stars.I could go on and on,but I'll just end with I love this game.

This is one of my childrens favorite games. It is great to see all 4 of them enjoying themselves and NO fighting! Mario is the best. hfo

Mario games never get old to me and this is one of my favorite ones! I personally own just about every Mario Game ever made and love playing them. I really recommend that you buy this one because it is a really good one!

This game is one that can only be described as outstanding...It is truly a tribute to everything Super Mario is and is known for. The game will last a lifetime, even more so if you try to collect all 120 stars throughout the castle. My only complaint is the camera sometimes goes a little crazy, but you can manually control it so, the problem is fixable. I've had this game since its arrival on N64 and I couldn’t have spent my money any better!

Mario explores Princess Peach's castle and hunts for stars in a variety of differently theme stages. The castle is amazing as you find your self jumping in to different pictures. Each picture leading to a different world. You will need to collect 100 stars to save Princess Peach and 120 to clear everything. Find the last few stars prove the hardest. Special powers are granted to you as you find different caps that grant Flight, invincibility. The flight cap is hand down the best. The platform remains, even by today's harsh standards, a true masterpiece.
There are about 120 stars that Mario needs to collect in order to clear everything but he only needs 100 to save the princess. During his journey, he can put on different caps: a Metal Mario cap, a Flying Mario cap, and an Invisible Mario cap.


Mario 64 is easy consider one of the greatest games ever. The tired and boring 2D mechanics of old style Mario series was reborn in to the realm of 3d with absolute perfection. In this came Mario 64 for build on many aspects of the old style 2D games. This Game single Handed help define 3d games and brought Nintendo's Plumber mascot back in to the spot light for a new era of game play. What is Mario? Mario is fun.

My children traded theirs in by mistake. We couldn't find one in the stores to replace it. This was the perfect solution and everyone is happy now.

I hate to say it but I didn't like this game. It came with my N64 i bought from a garage sale. I admit i TRIED to like it. I'd heard so many good things about it. I /TRIED/ to like it, but it just didn't happen. For me, Mario was really hard to control. I kept falling off of everything. I got stuck and had no idea where to go. I frequently had to look on online guides to help me and I was still confused. I guess i gave it that high of a score because.. It's Mario. You cant give Mario a bad score. Ever. :P

Besides getting totally and udderly confused with the game, I didn't really like the whole concept of.. Run around the world collecting these little stars and red coins and such which are nearly impossible (for me) to find.

I know.. nearly everyone in the world is going to disagree with me on this one, but this is just /my/ review and experience with the game. You may LOVE this kind of game.. but I stick with the RPGS mainly. (I Loved Paper Mario)

This game was made years ago, but it still works. The auction was truthful and said the game has been tested and is fine. Vintage games are sometimes hard to find, and even harder to fine working.

This is the game that launched the N64 and is still a must have for Nintendo Fans. Great entertainment for the younger player. If you have a small child old enough to play video games don't overwhelm them with a Wii or PS3. Find a used N64 and get this game for a few bucks, you will get hours of enjoyment for a fraction of a new system. This is game is one of the best out there for children.
