This album is just pure Keith Whitley for those of us who love to hear him. It showcases the almost supernatural talent that was uniquely his. The songs that made him famous are still as wonderful to listen to as they were when we first heard them, and they can now be heard by a whole new generation of fans. Great album! Love, love, love it!!!
This album is a fantastic addition to any country music collection. It contains the majority of Keith's hit songs and is very representative of his style. Tragically, Keith Whitley died much too young. Who knows how many more wonderful songs he would have recorded. For me, three of the songs contained on this album stand out: "I'm No Stranger to the Rain", "It Ain't Nothin'" and "I Wonder Do You Think of Me". "I'm No Stranger" is a song about enduring through the tough times, not giving up, and triumphing through strength of will. "It Ain't Nothin'" is a fun, upbeat song. Its message is that no matter what goes wrong in our day-to-day lives, "it ain't nothin a little bit of love won't fix." Finally, "I Wonder Do You Think of Me" is a touching song about remembering back to those bittersweet years of first love in high school. This song is almost guaranteed to bring back a wave of personal memories to the listener of their own past. At my age (40), this song reminds me of the rush of first love as well as the quiet and poignant thoughts of how things change. All the songs on the album are a great memorial to this fine performer. I recommend it to any fan of not only country music, but also of heartfelt lyrics and excellent singing.
This is a great CD. I have been a Keith Whitley fan for a very long time, he was very talented he would have been a super star. The songs on this CD are excellent. Can't think of anything negative about it.
