The Super GameBoy provides several benefits that the handheld machine doesn't have. The main selling point was playing all your handheld games on a big TV screen, and the fact that it added color to the monochrome screen everyone was used to on the Game Boy. All this was achieved by use of the simple adaptor. The adaptor supports up to 64 colors for the border (4 palettes of 16 colors each), and 16 colors for the screen (4 palettes of 4 colors each). Some games (like Kirby's Dream Land) only utilize certain hues of the palate, while others (like Donkey Kong) utilized a full array of available colors.

The control conversion from the 2 button GameBoy to the 6 button SNES controller is easy to understand and utilize. Another benefit consists of the ease of playing multiplayer games over the SNES without having to use the Game Link cable and be within a few foot radius of each other.

Overall the Super GameBoy is a worthwhile purchase, as it adds a new dimension to your videogame experience and expands your handheld game library into console titles.

Works like new, and is a great product. However what I didn't know is that Super GameBoy's do not play GameBoy Color games. Other than that it is wonderful.

This Device enables you to move your Gameboy games to the bigscreen. It's an adapter to play Gameboy cartridges on your Super NES system. Downside is (other than inferior graphics compared to SNES) That it only works with "original" gameboy games, the old two color ones. Gameboy Color or Advance & DS are incompatible. It does however add new value to those older games.

No plm at all! it can help low vision youth can see or watch enlarge video screen to play game. I had it one time, since I got it again, I am not skill play long time, but it keep me play, anyway!

If you're a big retro gamer, or if you have some old GameBoy games that you want to play, then you definitely want to check the Super GameBoy out. Not only does it play all original GameBoy games, it adds color to them! You can choose between the default color scheme or your own - you can pick four colors to use to color the game! It has several good-looking borders that you can choose from, or you can draw your own with a built-in border drawing tool. And because it plays on Super Nintendo, you get to play these games with the highly-acclaimed Super Nintendo controller! The Super GameBoy does have a few minor flaws. For one thing, it plays games only in about 75% of your screen. This isn't too big of a problem, especially because you can choose (or make) a border to fill up the rest of the screen. The only other flaw is that it can't play GameBoy Color games (the ones with clear cartridges). However, this is hardly a flaw at all, especially because the Game Boy Color showed up many YEARS after this did. Just be aware that this thing only plays games that will work on the original GameBoy, so if you want to play GameBoy Color games and don't care about nostalgia, then you might want to check out the GameCube's GameBoy Player. These are my only two complaints with the thing. Other than that, it's great. Its ability to play your cherished GameBoy games in color on the big screen of your TV combined with its highly customizable options makes the Super GameBoy a winner, and for those looking for a blast from the past and some good GameBoy fun, look no further!

I only wish that it played the gameboy advance games. Other than this it came in the time allotted and plays well. I would recomend this item if you have lots of regular game boy games. I would suggest explaining this only plays the original game boy games in the description

This product is possibly one of the best things to have happened to the SNES system. Of course you'll always want to go back and play one of your old favorite Game Boy games because lets face it, they're awesome! And with the super Game Boy you can play your Game Boy games 1. On any TV you wish, 2. without the worry of your GB's batteries dying and 3. with a SNES controller (how awesome is that!) In conclusion this is an essential to all GB and SNES lovers...

This cartiridge is a great thing to have in your house if you have some old gameboy games lying around that you might want to play. You don't always want to fish out four AA batteries just to play a game for awhile, so this allows you to merge your vintage game set-ups.

It doesn't let you play the games in fullscreen, though. It actually shows the game in a small box inside your TV picture.

before the game boy player came for [game cube 2001] it came out for the super nintendo in 1994 this device allows you to play gameboy games with no problom and you get a tv screen view compard too the gameboy screnn it makes a big differnts you dont wast battarys so you save money.

The adapter is indeed a good alternative for extra games played aside from the regular game cartridges. The color and effects are really meant for the small gameboy hand gadget, but this will do for extra.

I like the Super GameBoy because it allow you to play GameBoy games on the big screen. The GameBoy screen is very hard to see, plus you need the right light. Since you can put it on your TV you just need your favorite games. I had it back in the day and since I am reconnecting with my retro roots this is a must have for any retro gamer.

game works great it is everything that they said it will be but didn't know that it didn't show in color with gameboy color games but other than that everything was just fine

the controlers are good but their are a few flaws 1 the cable is really sort not ling like th4e original super nintendo and the arrows are a litle stiff bt besidfes that they work good

hi i purschased the item because ...well let`s face it . looking at a 3x3 screen doesn`t cut it for me . there is alot of games out their for for older systems that still are enjoyable so it was worth tring it out and saving my eyes . long live the gamers out there !!!!!
