Super Black Bass (Super Nintendo, 1993)

I use to play this back in the day. So I decided to get it again, since I dont fish much. I may as well catch fish at home. (lol) Thank You!

I remember playing this game as a kid and never was able to beat it. Now that I am older and miss the stuff I used to do I am going to give another run at this game.

This is a old but surprisingly complex fishing game. I would give it maybe a 3.2/5 for its overall average. If you like fishing games like I do I would give it a 4.7/5 especially because this gem was made for the SNES.

classic fishing game. worth playing every day. i love playing super nintendo and this is one of my favorite games. highly recommend this seller to anyone looking for great games from a honest seller.

Super Black Bass is almost as frustrating as actually going fishing. It is so hard to catch fish on this game its crazy. The thing that is really frustrating is you can never find the fish. You can ride around and listen for you fish finder but when you open the screen the fish are never there. Or you can go in some of the cover, like rocks, weeds, reeds, or spillways. Then you see a lot of fish but they are all small. So then you squint your eyes and barley make out a larger fish on laying on the bottom. So you cast you line out. OOOPPPPS. You didn't slow you line down at the end of your cast and you line is tangled up! Try again. You cast again. This time your lure gets hung on a reed. You have to cut your line! So you replace your lure and cast again. This time it lands right next to the fish. Nothing. He doesn't like your lure. You real it in and change lures about 5 times and finally you get him to come off the bottom of the lake. The fish acts like he is going to bite but then swims off and sinks back to the bottom of the lake. He doesn't like the color of the lure. So you change the color of the lure about 3 times. So now that you have the right color and right lure every little tiny fish in the lake wants your lure. So you finally hook the fish you're after, you fight him to the boat and find out he is not a Bass. He is a Trout or something. They look almost just alike in this game. So you throw the fish back and repeat the entire process about 4 times and finally find a big bass that seems interested. But again so does all the little fish, and they are much more aggressive that the big one is. So you accidentally hook a small fish. It fights like the devil but then you finally get it in the boat and the guy calls your fish a runt. Now the bigger fish wants no part of you. So you have to start all over. After a while you finally hook a big one. You fight the stupid fish for thirty minutes solid and right as your about to pull him into the boat he shakes the lure out of his mouth. (the fish on this game can do that when ever they want) So you have to start over again. You finally hook your lunker and real him in. Then the fish looks like a retarded beached whale on the preview screen. This game is for the really really patient. But if you are going to play this game you might as well actually go fishing. You probably wont get as angry. You will be better off trying to find Bassin's Black Bass

To be completely honest, I purchased this game thinking it was Bassin's Black Bass. When I bought a SNES I went hunting for games that I remember playing when I was younger. Bassin's Black Bass was the best fishing game that I could find. Super was a similar game but was lacking in graphics and is a good bit harder. The fish are hard to spot in most areas and are very reluctant to bite. You also have to begin without any help choosing lures (which for an infrequent fisher, is very hard to do alone). But overall this game is average to play and a good challenge.

I own almost every fishing game out there for every system I would say this is in the top 3 or 4 of that list a definate must have for anyone who likes fishing games. No dislikes if you like fishing games. I bought it because it is a very fun fishing game and was at a great price.
