Sunset Boulevard (DVD, 2008, The Paramount Centennial Collection)

How can one begin to describe what is considered one of the best films in Hollywood history. Billy Wilder's gritty tale of a tragic Hollywood story arouses eerie senses in the audience. Amazing performance by Gloria Swanson in what is probably her most memorable role as Norma Desmond, a "has been" silent star still convinced that her once neurotic and glamorous world is still existant. Also notable is William Holden's performance as a struggling writer who misfortunately encounters a drastic fate at the hands on Desmond. Erich Von Stroheim also played an interesting character as Desmond's butler which once was her husband. Stupendous thats all one has to say. Highly Recommend It!!!
