) It is the texture of life which defines a country. Bill Bryson captures the texture of Australia while leaving the silly bits and pieces for the traveler to discover on his own. It was a good read.

A narrative of Bryson's trip to Australia. covers the usual tourist " things to do ". Not very inspiring and not very adventureous. Like reading a story of a retired winnabago driver through North Carolina.
