The Sun Witch by Linda Winstead Jones (2004, Paperback, Reissue)

I love all six books in this collection. The way that jones writes you really start to feel "sucked in". You start to almost believe that the story really is happening. She takes the romance plot to a whole new level and is so creative that you just cant put the book down. The whole sub plot carries into all six books. And the story melds together beautifully.
The first three books are about three sisters that live on the Fyne mountain. They are completely alone and cut off from the outside world mostly because of the fyne curse. But when one sister is kidnapped it starts off a whole chain reaction that washes into all three books. As the sisters are separated and set out to find each other and to join forces to stop the corrupt ruler they learn more about themselve and the powers that the posses. The also learn to love even though the risk of losing the ones they fall for is so great.

PS. I think the greatest part about the books is the evil ruler Sebestion. He is such a complex part of the story that you cant help but hate him but also fall in love with him a little too. Never has an author created such an in depth personality before on the pages of the book. it speaks so much about the realness of human nature

I really think that Jones is the most creative paranormal author that I have ever read and I am waiting very impatiently for her next book to come out in Aug!
