  Another Lt. Dallas Case Solved
Review created: 12/04/08

This book actually had 4 short stories, the first written by J. D. Robb (Nora Roberts) about Lt. Eve Dallas, a futuristic New York police woman who is tough on crime. The theme Suite 606 is found in each of the four stories, but that is the only similarity.

Mary Layney's story is about enduring love, a ghost, a magic coin and some ugly lies that deliberately kept two lovers apart for years.

Ruth Ryan Langan's story is a haunting tale about a man in a car wreck and what happens to him afterward. Did he dream it all? What did it mean? Read more to find out.

Mary Kay McComas writes a witty story about a mother and son with communication problems who get caught up in time travel with a wizard.

It was a fast read. I like more detailed J.D. Robb stories, and this one seemed rushed, but it was good just the same.

The title was "on point" with the storyline.

The storyline was great. Dallas was in peak form for this case, as usual. Since it was just a short story, they followed it accurately and even had a little time for the by-play that usually happens in the regular stories. I highly recommend adding this book to your "in Death" series. JD Robb did herself proud. I decided to buy it because I want a complete collection of JD Robb's "in Death" series.

  Truly enjoyed!

Really enjoyed the short stories! Especially the J.D. Robb story! I've been reading the Death series and this was a very nice short story that continued with the theme without getting into a lot of detail. If you have read her stories, you will really enjoy this. The other short stories were good. I didn't care as much for the story of the time travel - mostly because it was sad.

  Suite 606 book by J. D. Robb

I originally bought the book because one of the four stories was about Eve Dallas. a character in 26 other novels in the "In Death" series by J. D. Robb. Once you've read one of the novels in this series, you are hooked. The other stories in Suite 606 are just as entertaining--something different from the norm.

I highly recommend this book it is excellent. I purchased it for the J.D. Robb story but found the other 3 writers to be equally entertaining. For those of you who enjoy the Dallas/Roark characters this book is a definite read.
