Synopsis In this whimsical and uplifting novel with a magical-realist twist, Josey Cirrini, an overweight and under-confident woman in a small North Carolina town, finds her drab life turned upside down when Della Lee Baker, a spunky self-assured local waitress, begins to hide out in Josey's house.
