25 pounds in 7 weeks... that's my favorite part :)
My doctor is really the one I should thank for turning me on to Sugar Busters! He told me to get this book and follow it religiously, and his advice may have saved my life.
I went to his office 50+ pounds overweight and gaining, even though I worked out at the gym 3 times a week... And yet, there I was, with pre-hypertensive blood pressure and symptoms consistent with pre-diabetes, and plus my knees and feet were starting to hurt from carrying around all those pounds.
My doctor said it best... Americans don't have a "Fat Problem", we have a SUGAR Problem !!
We live in a culture where we tell school children and youth groups to "watch out for fat", and then send them out on the street to sell Candy Bars and Chocolate Covered Popcorn for "Fund-Raisers"... Have we lost our minds ??
We are SO addicted to Sugar, and it is slowly and silently killing us. Millions of Americans are developing diabetes (kids too !) and other health problems because of Too Much Sugar, and our already over-worked Health Care System is bearing the burden.
If you're looking for a "Diet", don't bother. Sugar Busters is not a fad; it is a different Lifestyle choice.
Atkins Diet and some others like it are really great too, and I have heard a lot of good things about Low-Carb Diets; some like the South Beach Diet also sell the food you have to eat along with the book... some of them are $$$$$$$$$$

Sugar Busters shows you how to make better choices, shed pounds and feel better. You won't have to depend on a "Diet Plan" that someone else wrote. This book will equip you with the knowledge to decide for yourself !!
The weird thing is, since I started Sugar Busters, I'm actually eating MORE FOOD total !!! Sounds weird ? It's true !!
It's What rather than How Much... More green leafy vegetables, more fruits, more meat and cheese, more olive oil, garlic and peppers, tabasco and hot sauces, vinegar and mustard, Sweet Potatoes (yes, it's true!!), Whole Grain Bread, Triscuits...
On the Sugar Busters lifestyle, I am Eating like a King and I'm dropping pounds like crazy !!
I feel better, I look better, I still work out at the gym 3 times a week, and people at the office have started to notice that my clothes are getting a little baggy :-)
I can handle having to buy all new clothes... rather than die young and miserable from diabetes.
