Suddenly You by Lisa Kleypas (2001, Paperback, Reprint)

Great book. Interesting plot, hot sex scenes. Funny and very interesting. As good as her other books.

I bought this book in a lot with some other authors. I had never read any of her books before. I really enjoyed it. I would by form this author again.

This was one of Lisa Kleypas's more steamy stories. I always enjoy her characters and this book is one of my favorites. I have read several authors of romance and Kleypas's novels are the most detailed in storyline, they read easy, and are believable.

I always buy Lisa Kleypas. She can always be counted on to deliver a good story. If you are looking for a fun historical romance novel set within the "ton" then look no farther than Lisa Kleypas.

A very popular romance writer "Amanda Briars" is approaching her thirtieth birthday. But, Amanda has never had an admirer let alone a lover and she decides that she does not want to turn thirty still a virgin.

Amanda visits Mrs. Bradshaw, London’s best known madam, to hire a lover as a birthday present for herself. Upon opening the door for her expected appointment she has decided that this is a bad idea. The man on her doorstep is incredibly handsome, with piercing blue eyes, a fine body and luscious black hair. “Jack,” as he introduces himself, does not simply go away as she asks. If he doesn’t take her virginity, he certainly shows her what physical pleasure is all about. Happy birthday, Amanda!

In her embarassment and scorn Amanda rebukes Jacks aquaintenship but comes to find out Jack had come to Amanda’s not to seduce her but to offer her a deal. (Come to find out Madam Bradshaw had a strange sense of humor.)

Jack approaches Amanda and explains how he wants to publish Amanda’s first novel (whose rights he has purchased) as a serial novel. Amanda’s first reaction is to say no, but he makes her an offer she can’t refuse.

Jack and Amanda work together on the manuscript, become friends, the attraction between them is unresistible. But Jack believes himself incapable of marriage despite his deep feelings for Amanda, he believes he has to let her go to someone more worthy. . .

The constant situation changes in this book make it a wonderful book to read, it always keeps you wanting more . . .
