The Strong-Willed Child by James C. Dobson (1985, Paperback)

I love this book for too many reasons to list. But the main reason is, it helps parents to know where to set boundries for their little one. To many parents walk aimlessly around defeated with the job of parenting or worse they do nothing at all and others have to deal with little one who have no regard to anyone but themselves. This book helps parents gain the upper hand in understanding what children so need today and that is to be lead by loving parents who wants the best that God has to offer them. Shaping the will of a child, and keeping their spirit intact. A parent should understand that they are audlts and the child is a child. This book shows how to be that clear headed adlut without mistreating the children.

Highly recommended book. I applied Dr. Dobson's suggestions on my child and saw improvement in his behavior within days. Dr. Dobson enlightened me as to how a child thinks and sees the world. Love it!

I bought this because my old friend recommended it - his daughter was strong willed and my granddaughter is - it's okay and I am sill reading it at airports and on planes, I know the author is good and I know this was a little dated however the information is still good. Glad I bought it!

This book is Scriptural, so it reinforces the Bible's teaching on child-rearing. We have three children and three grandchildren. We used this book alongside Proverbs, the best parenting book ever, with good success. The two girls are married and our son is in college. All are walking with the Lord, the best result a parent could hope for.

This book is a great tool. It has shown me areas I need to work on as a parent and areas that I can help my child.

I am still reading the book. Thanks for being so prompt in mailing to me. I have a teenager and need all the help that I can get.
