Striptease Series - Pole Work (DVD, 2006)

The video is helpful in teaching pole tricks for those at the beginner to intermediate level. There may even be a trick or two that could be improved for the advanced pole dancer. It's for this reason that I would recommend the video to anyone interested in the art of pole dance. The instruction by Fawnia is very clearly explained and demonstrated. Throughout the video, she wears bikini-type outfits, not stripper gear, so this video would be okay for moms who want to get thier workout while young kids are at home.
There are some drawbacks to the video, most notably the low production value. There is no accompanying music, and the drab setting is simply a store with a pole set up.
Overall, I give the video a good rating, and have to recommend it. Though it is cheaply made as for as exercise videos go, there really aren't many pole technique videos in which to compare it. Next to handful of other pole videos out there, I'd say that this one offers more tips and tricks than most.
Buyers should note that they will need access to a proper dancer pole(one that will support body weight safely) to make use of this video.

Great dvd. If you have pole danced before this gives you some great techniques to try and some things to practice.

Unfortunately, I was hoping for more from this video. It moves along very quickly and most of the tricks are extremely advanced involving incredible body strength in the arms, abs, and legs. There is very little warmup and hardly any spin moves or floor work. This would be a good video for someone who is already a pole dancer looking to learn a couple of new tricks, but I suspect they would already know these moves. I guess it just wasn't what I was looking for.
