Not as heavy as Rage Against the Machine
Really liked this cd. Boots Riley is a good, street-wise, revolutionary rapper. (Not Revolutionary but Gangsta, that's for Dead Prez.) I was very familiar with a lot of Boot's stuff. (Funny, this says the CD is by Epitaph records, but mine is on Warner Bros. Epitaph did put out Boots Riley's "The Coup" rap albums though). Tom Morello is a good guitar player, in love with the wha wha peddle, and with special effects on the guitar. I think he does a great job with this cd.
I really like the cd, it's got a lot of the things that made Rage Against the Machine so good, but not as loud and angry. Boots has more street lyrics, and more humor, than Zach does. I think Tom is amazing on the cd. Not as wild as Rage albums, but this isn't RATM, this is Street Sweeper.
All-in-all, if I had to do it all over again, I'd definately buy this album again. I can't wait to hear more songs.
someone really compared this to Linkin Park? <vomit>
