Streams in the Desert by James Reimann, L.B. Cowman (1997, Hardcover, Revised)

I bought this copy for my Mom as a surprise, after she bought another copy for a friend. She was surprised and very pleased. This is a truly inspirational book, and I was so happy to find it.

In my opinion, this is the best devotional on the market. I own several of these. I have the original which is falling apart from use. I bought another of the orginal to have on hand. This one was purchased to give to a family member that is seeking the Lord. The first one I owned was given to me by best friend (and my minister's wife) when I was seeking the Lord. You won't go wrong with this devotional. It much more juicy than most.

This is my favorite devotional. It gives me daily encouragement, and peace knowing that God through Jesus cares.

My purchase was for two devotionals, for .01 each, "Streams in the Desert, and "A Psalm in my Heart". I love to give away Devotionals, and especially at these prices! Not shipment was immediate, and the books arrived in excellent condition. I am very happy.

Very nice book with daily spiritual thoughts. I loved the way that some were woven into poetry. Arrived quickly.

Bought this book as a present for my wife's sister, who had been in the hospital for a procedure that worried her considerably. The book came in great shape, and gave the sister-in-law quite a bit of comfort. I've personally never read the book. Not really sure why Ebay would want a review, opinion, etc., from us, of a book I bought. I thought this would be a review of the whole Ebay experience, so to speak. Guess not.

I love Streams in the Desert by LB Cowman, and thought I was purchasing the same thing. Upon arrival I realized that this was by James Reimann and the text was somewhat edited. I prefer the older English presentation of the original book and the Bible version that is used in the older book also. This one had more modern translations used in it. It would be fine for someone who is used to reading a modern Bible translation, but since I've used the older translations in the past, that is what I prefer. I have bought several of these to give as gifts and of course, to use personally and I will be more careful from now on to notice who is the author.

I think it is beautifully written, very Biblically based and straightforward. I, being a poetry fan, love the poetry as well. Every morning I seek encouragement through this book, and find it. This was given to me as a gift, but I have bought several to give as gifts myself.

This is a wonderful daily devotional. I read it every morning before I leave home. I also purchase copies to share with others. Excellent!

I had been looking for this book in book stores - to no avail. A friend suggested that I try eBay. Lo and behold, there were several from which to choose! So that's what I did - ordered several. Four to be more precise. Three books were in excellent condition - better than I expected; the fourth one had a little more wear than described on just the jacket, but the book itself were in great shape. Expedient delivery, too, from all the vendors.

This is a great devotional book, especially for those who may be dealing with hardships. I've shared many copies of this book with others, one of my all-time favorites.

Best devotional for times of suffering and loss. I have given this as a gift 4-5 times. The updated version is best, easier to read.
