Album Notes
Audio Mixers: Olle Olsson; Fabian Torsson; Chrille Roth; Joakim Ahlund; Caesars; Henrik Edenhed.
This is the Swedish band's third album released in the U.S., following 2005's PAPER TIGERS. The lull is compensated for by largesse: STRAWBERRY WEED packs 24 songs over two discs. Thankfully, Caesars haven't gone pretentious, just prolific. These tracks aren't mind-expanding; they're simply a lot of the same fun melodies, snotty swagger, and general good vibes that made them so popular on their home front in the first place. Added to their garage tropes are nods to Flaming Lips ("Waking Up") and A.C. Newman ("Boo Boo Goo Goo").

Editorial Reviews
3.5 stars out of 5 -- Wistful yet brawny, 'Turn It Off' legitimately evokes the pre-rock-opera Who at their smoldering best.
