Just read the first book of the series and you will understand You can not get enough of Roarke and Eve. I just hope JD Robb isn't running out of episodes to transfer to paper.
This very hip, futuristic series is entertaining and always surprising. I am always eager to find out how Dallas figures it out and gets her perp. Always a good read.
This different In Death novel, is very different than other JD Robb novels. This book actually focuses on one death... and in the end- it ties into many other facets... but is situated differently than her other novels. Great characters, and enjoy the development amongst the characters. Since this is formatted differently, I enjoyed the change!
This is the best series I have ever read. People shy away from it when they find that it has over 20 books but if you read one, you will have to read the rest. I started out with Invitation in Death then went to the library every chance I got till I had read the series from the very begining. Its got mystery, suspence, romance, humor, and characters you love, and even want. A great read!!!!
J.D. Robb/Nora Roberts never ceases to amaze me. Her books continue to be unique even when they have the same characters. I have read every one of the In Death series and this one is just as good as the previous ones. Lt. Eve Dallas fans will not be disappointed. Excellent book as are all the In Death books.
As a long-time fan of J.D. Robb, this was a must-read for me. I have rated it as "good" because I didn't feel it was up to her usual standard for plot development. I had the feeling it might have been a ghost writer -- though probably not as I don't think she ever uses those.
It had a very interesting plot line with a surprise twist in the last few chapters. I think I would have preferred if she had made the twist sooner and then developed it slowly. Instead it sort of pops in out of the blue and within a chapter or two everything "falls into place". Usually she does a much better job at building the premise.
It is still a worth-while read for JD Robb fans. She gives us a surprise twist on the lives of some of our "favorite" characters which in itself makes it worthwhile! I'm really looking forward to the next installment(s) on this new development.
My girlfriend has read all of these books and this one did not disappoint her in the least. She really likes this series of books so I will keep on buying them when they come out.
This is the latest in the world of Eva Dallas and her steller team of police. With the help of her georgous husband, she is on the hunt for the killer. This is a page turner and a delight into her world of finding and exposing the killer. Buy this and enjoy the world of 2060.
I loved this book because I read all of Nora Roberts IN DEATH books. There is nothing I disliked about it. I decided to buy it because it was a new book by this awesome author.
Great continuation of the Dallas/Roarke connection complete with all the supporting cast. The plot was good with just enough twists to keep you on your toes.
An excellent novel featuring Detective Eve Dallas in another futuristic crime fighting extravaganza. Suspenseful and exhilarating from beginning to the end. J.D. Robb (aka Nora Roberts) has succeeded once again.
I have always loved J. D Robb and have read everyone of her in death series. This book has been great and I can't wait to finish it. Nora Roberts is consitant in her caracters all the time. I do wish she would give Eve closure to her past, then maybe the couple could have a family. If you do not already have this book it is certainly worth getting. The book holds your attention all the way through. Great read.
J.D. Robb a.k.a. Nora Roberts has written another in the "death" series with Lt. Eve Dallas back as the protagonist. Thomas Anders, a Manhattan businessman, is found dead, surrounded by dozens of sex-toys. Lt. Dallas does not think his wife, Ava, is innocent in all this even though she has an air-tight alibi that places her with a group of friends on vacation. Anders was a wealthy man and Ava stands to inherit everything. What Lt. Dallas discovers is the Ava, who is playing the grieving widow to a T, has been paying for sex on the side. Dallas' radar starts to hum when another dead husband turns up dead in a brothel, minus his "apparatus" and surprise....his wife has an airtight alibi also and she stands to inherit a fortune! Dallas knows in her heart that both cases are connected and she won't rest until she's got the answer neatly tied to an indictment for murder.
Are these wives getting away with murder? Well....I won't tell you the ending, but this is another outstanding book in the "death" series that puts Eve Dallas in the drivers seat to the last page. A real eye-opening thriller. She just gets better and better!
I love the whole series. JD Robb does a great job painting a picture of the future all while having a great mystery storyline! This series is by far one of the greatest I've ever read. Keeps you interested from page one.
