I rented this for my sister, she really loves Amy Sedaris.
I agree, this was a great opportunity to just be funny.
I liked the focus on Amy's character better than the tv show on Comedy Central.

I would watch it over and over again.

well amy sedaris is hilarious i have the series. in the stores the dvd cost 20.00 or more in brooklyn. so i saw it on ebay for 99cents which is definitely a great price. i saw this movie in theaters and just missed 5minutes of it so now i can watch the whole thing and hopefully it has extra footage.the prrice was ok if i had 2 bid more its worth it ,the movie was so funny. i recommend this seller. :)

Ok I'll admit it. I'm a total sucker for this show and for Amy Sedaris. But as long as you are too, you will love the movie. It's a little bit different than the show, more longevity to the scenes and more celebrity appearances, but still amazingly written and a great movie.
Watch the show before you see the movie.

Enjoyed all the performances by all artists. Surprised by some. Story kind of lame. Had watched the television show a few times, movie was like one of the extended tv show. Just more actors. For the price, not bad.

I loved the series Strangers with Candy on Comedy Central and wanted to see the movie. The movie is OKAY. The series was MUCH better in my opinion. The movie seemed to lack the comedy and storyline of the series. Still yet I am a Strangers With Candy fan reguardless!!!

If you live the tv show the movie is good. I think the TV show was better but I still enjoy this movie.

The previews made the movie seem funnier than it really was. The whole thing was an absentminded movie. The funny parts were really funny, and the not so funny parts were really bad.

I was somewhat disappointed in the movie (Saw it at the Alamo Draft House in Austin - a beer helped a little). Amy Sedaris, Steven Colbert, Paul Dinello, etc threw out a few good laughs. I feel that trying to compress the complexity of so many perverse episodes on Comedy Central into a 1.5 hr film somewhat failed. The performances were good, Mr. Colbert's famous sarcasm came through and kept me interested. Amy Sedaris's role as Jerri Blank was still wrong and creepy, but it seemed simplified for the uninformed. Greg Hollimon (Principal Blackman) is always good for a "eeew that's wrong" laugh. I find the original series to be more disturbing. The movie is worth watching, but I am left wanting more. I prefer the original show. Surprise guest Matthew Broderick certainly added to the film. I complain but recommend. Go Concrete Donkeys!

Its one of those movies you have to share with friends and watch over and over. And after you watch it ver and over you will want to watch it again. This movie is so witty you can't not keep watching it!

I am a huge Strangers with Candy fan. I figured since the show is my favorite that I'd go ahead and buy the DVD...while it was funny, it was not anywhere close to how good the series were. Some of the characters wern't the same, there was not enough focus on Mr. Jellineck and Noblet...I mean it didn't have the same punch that the show had.

If you have never seen Strangers with Candy, watch the show first before you watch the movie.
