When a Stranger Calls Back (DVD, 1998)

I LOVED WHEN A STRANGER CALLS AND WAS QUITE SURPRISED THAT THE SEQUAL WAS ALMOST AS GOOD. IN MY OPINION THE SEQUALS ARE USUALLY DISAPPOINTING AND IN THIS CASE IT WAS NOT. NINE TIMES OUT OF TEN I BUY FROM EBAY AS I ALWAYS GET GOOD SERVICE AND YET TO BE DISPLEASED WITH ANY PURCHASE.

I bought this dvd because it is a hard to find iteam and it is a decent film.
It was purchased as a gift for someone how has been searching for this iteam for quite some time and they were surprised that I found is when they recived it. the shipping time was quick and the price was also rite!!!

Throughout most of the movie almost every situation is fairly realistic and much better acted than the later one. I also like the suprize.

PLOT: baby sitter Julia is scared when she finds the phone is "out of order"~ a man keeps coming to the door and asking to be let inside so he can call a tow truck~ the same person keeps her on edge as she finally realizes he is INSIDE THE HOUSE~

FOLLOW UP MOVIE BY FRED WALTON Movie has a baby sitter Julia is menaced by a man who keeps coming to the door and insisting to be let inside~ when she finds the phone is out of order she 'PRETENDS' to call for him~ as the man who keeps up the demands keep her on edge~ when the phone numbers on the note pad disappear she realized a MAN IS INSIDE THE HOUSE~ AS SHE races out the front door the owners of the house arrive~ finding the children and the menacing man are both gone~ now 7 YEARS LATER Julia has been spooked again by someone who moves things in her apartment and talks to her in the dark~ drawn into the action is Carol Kane (JILL) from the first movie~ who is now a woman's victim assistance advisor and tries to help Julia who is now completely unable to sleep or eat~ back comes Charles Durning to help find the menacing man~ or is it all in Julia's mind? We never really see this Psycho until about 2/3 of the way through the movie when he visits a JULIA now in the hospital barely alive when she tries to kill herself~ and when visiting JILL comes he follows JILL and has a new person to spook~ very good use of a total loon and to add to the fun he is a Ventriloquist~ more thrills and some violence but over all a great edge of your seat babysitter movie~ nearly as good at the orig.

I GIVE IT A SOLID 9 OUT OF 10 FOR BABY SITTER MENACED BY A PSYCHO ~

I liked it. I forgot a lot about it since I saw it quite a while ago but am happy with my purchase. It was pretty creepy and the makeup was great.

One of the great suspense movies that you like to watch over and over. This movie takes up where the first "When a Stranger Calls" leaves off--even has Carol Kane, who starred in the original version. This movie grabs your attention and holds it until the final scene. A real winner at our house.

This would have to be one of my favorite movies... I loved it the first time i saw it and still love it the last time i watched it... It'll keep you on your toes... I think it is better than the 1st one(original) and i'm hoping that they remake this one as well but make it better(if they can).

Not the best scary movie ever, but good, and different. No blood and guts, just creepy!If you like all the blood and guts and special effects of today's movies, this may not be the movie for you, but I really like it.
