What if honesty crept in?
Overall, very good and bordering on excellent, Strange Bedfellows is a story of true friendship, of relationships, of how we are manipulated into behaving. While "an Aussie story" set in Australia, the story is not tied to Australia, and the relationship, behavior, and the way everyone behaves travels well, be it to Canada, the US, or European markets.
Baffling it might be, the best feature of a movie about two straight men pretending to be gay men for tax purposes-- actually tax fraud-- is in making us look at ourselves, the way we behave, at our own motivations.
It's worth it.
