The Story of the World by Susan Wise Bauer (2006, Revised, Compact Disc)

This collection of CDs tells the stories of world history in general chronological order. Good mix of history from the perspective of different cultures. It's historically accurate, but not boring, as the author includes many tales from mythology and tradition as well as dates and facts. Jim Weiss, who reads the book has a very versatile voice which he puts to good use throughout.

We have used these CDs in the car as we shuttle children from one activity to another, creating a mobile history class. The children has retained a lot of the information because it is presented in story form.

My husband started listening to them on his commute, and enjoyed them so much we bought the next volume!

Great addition to a homeschooling curriculum or just to entertain kids while sneaking in a little education.

Great supplement to our Classical Conversations studies. However, not as strong on the Christian worldview as I would prefer should I be using it as a primary resource.
